It had been a year and Atlas had finally come to terms with the fact that Sawyer was gone, she was dead. Cole was gone and Peta leaving Atlas to take care of Chris. He had put all of his energy into training with Indra. She took him under her wing and showed him how to turn emotions into strength

"What did I say about leaving youself open!" Indra yelled

Atlas instantly closed up the space throwing his sword at Octavia once more. Octavia held her ground attempting to strike at many angles each one being blocked. Their fight was interupted by Niylah walking in and requesting Octavia and Indra

Atlas found himself walking to the dining unit, he turned the corner  to see a girl being cornered by 2 grounders. The girl let out cries as the men picked at her

"Hey!" Atlas yelled, the men turned seeing Atlas rushing down the hall "Mind your buisness skaikru" the man growled

"There is no skaikru!"

Atlas threw his arm back swinging at the man's head, he flew to the ground and before the other guy could come closer he lifted his leg smashing it against his stomach

The man flew back and Atlas moved forward striking both of them with the back of his gun. He looked up seeing the girl frozen in shock

"Come on!" he rushed pulling the brunette into his arms rushing her away with him down the hall

"I'm Rose" the girl choked out smiling

"Atlas"

"How is the flower still alive?" Atlas questioned. "It's not alive, I pressed it in my journal, my mother taught me how" Rose responds "she named my sisters and I after flowers, i'm in the middle. My oldest sister is Dhalia a beautiful flower with many petals, this one" she said pointing to a bright pink pressed flower

"I'm Rose, growing up she would always tell me not the tight roses the ones that bloom wide. And then theres my younger sister, Magnolia"

"Where did your Mom's facination of flowers come from?" Atlas asked curiously. "Growing up in the Sangedakru was hard, lots of fights and killing around me. My Mother thought flowers were growing beacons of hope that represented peace in the world"

"Where is your family now? If you don't mind me asking-" Rose smiled staring into his blue eyes that gave her a sense of safety "Azgeda, they came in the night slaughtering my whole village, Magnolia and I got away but she died a week later"

Atlas' face fell "i'm so sorry" he croaked out in shock. "I burried them all in this green field, it was beautiful. I carried their bodies for days trying to find the perfect spot. And I finally did, that's where all these flowers game from" she said smiling
