Both Puss and Poppy were taking their walk through the town of San Ricardo. Poppy still held Puss's hand as they both passed all the houses and the markets. Poppy had a bright smile on her face as she was happy to finally have what she always wanted. A family. Sort of. As they walked, they made it to a cliffside with a stone sitting upright with a name carved in it.

Poppy: "Dad, why did you take me here?"

Puss: "This, pequeño, is a place I took your mother when she was pregnant you and your sister. She was tired of sitting at home all day doing nothing, so I took her here every sunset to watch the sun go down. To see the beautiful view. To see the world our two little kittens will eventually grow in."

Puss rubs Poppy's chin with his finger with one quick swipe. Poppy giggles closing her eyes and then opening again looking at Puss with happiness.

Poppy: "It's a really beautiful spot. I'm sure mom loved it."

Puss: "She did. She really did. So, this is where I decide to bury her. And I come here every year on the day that she died to talk to her. In hopes that she could hear me."

Poppy: "Oh."

Poppy looks at the stone.

Puss: "I know it sounds weird, which is why I come here by myself. I never allow anyone to come here utter than me and a few close friends I have."

Poppy: "I see. Who are these close friends of yours?"

Puss looks at Poppy.

Puss: "Well, my pequeño, you will meet them eventually. But for now, I want to spend as much time with you as I possibly can to make up for all the times I wasn't there."

Poppy: "That's sweet of you. I want to spend as much time with you as I can too. *sighs* I do wish Misty was here to do that too. But as you said, she'll even come around."

Puss: "I know you miss your sister already and trust me, I do too. I want her to spend time with me too. But I also don't want to force her to do what she doesn't wish. It's understandable that she wants nothing to do with me. But I have a feeling she'll come around. I just know it."

Poppy: "Yeah, I guess I kind of have that feeling too. "

The two cats then exchange a warm smile with one another. Just then a female cat comes up behind them. She is surprised to see Puss.

???: "Puss?"

That soft voice that Puss could hear sounded all too familiar. Both him and Poppy turn around. To Poppy, she was an unknowable white kitty wearing a dress, but to Puss, he put on a surprised smile.

Puss: "Dulcinea?"

Dulcinea: "Puss, it's you!"

Dulcinea then runs up to Puss and they both exchanged a hug. They then separate.

Dulcinea: "Oh Puss, it's been so long. I haven't seen you in years."

Puss: "I know. I've been going through so much during those years. I'm sorry for staying away for so long."

Dulcinea: "No, no, it's alright. I know it's been hard for you since Kitty died. You don't have to be sorry for anything."

Puss: "I appreciate it."

Dulcinea then turns to look at Poppy who had a confused face.

Dulcinea: "And this must be your daughter, Poppy. I recognize that sweet face of hers."

Puss: "Yes, that is."

Poppy: "How do you know me?"

Puss: "Poppy, this is my old friend Dulcinea. She's one of my closest friends. She was there when you and Misty were born. Not to mention this close to being to your mother." (Pinches his two fingers together)

Dulcinea: (giggles) "Oh Puss."

Poppy: "Oh, well it's really nice to meet you."

Dulcinea: "It's nice to meet you too, Poppy. You've grown up so much over these years. I only wish I could have seen you. *sighs* Things happen a lot and fast."

Puss: "They really do. So, what are you doing here?"

Dulcinea: "I was here to put some flowers on Kitty's grave. I know today isn't the day she died, but I can't help to come here once a week to pay my respects to her."

Puss: "That's sweet, but you really don't have to."

Dulcinea: "No, I insist. She was my friend too and even though we haven't always seen eye to eye, I really did and still do care about her."

Puss: "Now, that's really sweet of you. I'm happy you came."

Dulcinea: "I'm glad I was able to see you again. (looks back at Poppy) And I was glad to meet you too, Poppy."

Poppy: "It was nice to meet you too.

Puss looks out at the sunset and notices that the sun is going down.

Puss: "We should probably start heading back at the orphanage. It's almost bedtime. I'm going to let you spend one more night at the orphanage before I officially take you to my home."

Poppy: "That would be wonderful! I wanna see Imelda again and thank her for everything she's done for me."

Puss: "That's nice. Let's go."

Dulcinea: "I'll come too."

And with that said, the three cats make their way back to the orphanage. Poppy and Dulcinea continued to walk, Puss stopped and turns his head to look at Kitty's gravestone. He looks at it with a wistful smile.

Puss: "I'll see you again soon, my love Kitty."

He then turns his head back and continues to walk back with Poppy and Dulcinea. When they make it back to the orphanage, it was quiet. The windows close and the door was cracked open. Puss then stops and sticks his arm out for Dulcinea and Poppy to stop as well. They both look at him confused.

Dulcinea: "What is it, Puss?"

Puss: "Nothing isn't right here. I want both of you to stay behind me when we walk in, okay?"

Dulcinea: "Okay."

Poppy: "Okay."

Puss: "Alright."

As Puss then starts to walk up the house slowly, Poppy and Dulcinea follow behind him slowly. Puss finally comes up to the door and opens it a bit more to stick his head in to see. It was dark. Puss then sticks his head back out and turns to Dulcinea and Poppy.

Puss: "You two stay out here until I say it's safe to come in."

Dulcinea: "Oh please be careful, Puss."

Poppy: "Is everything alright."

Puss: "It's alright, Poppy. I just need to see if everything's alright in there. Okay?"

Poppy: "Okay."

Puss then opens the door slowly as he makes his way inside. The light from outside shines into the dark orphanage and Misty can be seen inches away from the door in a cage, tied up and gagged.

Puss: "Misty?"

Misty had a terrified look on her face. She tries to talk, but couldn't say anything with that cloth covering her mouth. So, all that was heard was muffled noises. Puss looks at her in shock. And the door behind him is then shut quickly and hard. Puss turns around to see the cat catcher with an evil grin.

The Cat Catcher: "Hello, Puss in Boots."

Puss: "Cat catcher."

5 thieves then show up surrounding him with swords in their hands. Puss then takes his sword out and has a defensive face.

The Cat Catcher: "Finally, we can finish what we started."
