???
Awakening with a groggy fog clouding my mind, I flinch while I arrive at the realization that my head is resting on the legs of a faded blonde-haired colleague. I believe I asked you not to do this, I think as the honey-blonde girl grins softly at me, her cheeks dappled with pink. She brushes a clump of thin strands of my hair off of my forehead and tucks them back with a few gold clips.
Turning my head to the side, my vision is impeded by a perpetual wall of black that reduces the range of my peripheral vision. Oh, right. Nonetheless, I suppose that I did anticipate that this might occur, but I never truly expected it to transpire. Odd. It's eerily silent in my restless mind. I muster up a few languished blinks to sweep away the lingering haze glazing over my vision.
Likely noticing that I am now awake, two male colleagues of mine approach me. One is tall with dark hair, while the latter is about the same height with light hair that seems to be almost artificially colored.
"Reitou Kirotoshi... That's your name," I'm informed by the latter of my two male colleagues, who's smirking at me with vacant red eyes. "You made a promise to us three years ago, so we expect you to uphold that. That's not to say you weren't doing a good job, but you made a grave mistake."
Reitou Kirotoshi, huh? I think to myself, pressing the palm of my hand against my chest as a twinge of pain shoots through it. It seems that that's who I am. Reitou Kirotoshi... It sounds somewhat reminiscent of something. Have I perhaps forgotten?
"Might not want to move too much yet," I'm forewarned by the other aforementioned confederate, who wears an unsympathetic, mocking smile. "It's only been a day or so." He crouches down before me, glancing up at the honey-blonde female I'm resting on the legs of; the honey-blonde is incessantly twirling her fingers through my hair. "We have the future all planned out for you. Sound familiar at all?" His venomous grin inflicts minimal damage compared to the implications of his words.
I plaster on a sweet smile as I intertwine my hands with the giddy blonde. "You truly do enjoy embellishing such a hellish past that you're acutely aware of, don't you? Of course I wanted nothing more than to abandon it all, but I was well aware of the atrocious consequences which would have ensued in doing so. That day... You never answered my question. It has been three years since I've seen you. Answer me."
"Damn. You still remember?" He casts his gaze to the light-haired male. "Am I obligated to answer?"
Placing his hand on his neck, the light-haired male slightly tips his head upwards. "Yeah. You're questionable as it is, so it would be best not to keep many other secrets from us."
"Right. I'll get around to it...eventually."
Finally speaking, the honey-blonde unravels our interlaced hands like they're ten thick threads and wraps her arms around my neck, drawing me deeply into an embrace. "Sheesh, that's so irresponsible. C'mon, give us an answer already. You had three years to think of a good lie!"
"Sorry, but I don't feel like saying shit." He shrugs, his eyes beaming with ulterior malice. "Especially not to a certain someone."
Three years ago, the honey-blonde girl had approached me from behind, covering my eyes with her hands and resting her elbows on my shoulders. "What an amazing quirk you have!" she chuckled jubilantly while my breath was clumped together in my throat. "It's enthralling to look at. You know, there's a place for you to put such a beauty to use! You'd be a wo-onderful addition..." Giggling under her breath, she removed her hands from my eyes and wrapped an arm around my neck, as if preparing to snap it.
