"No, no! Let them go!" I screamed at Dr. Overly. "Stop!" The knife slowly shimmied into the stomach of a woman who resembled me, light skin, dark hair, the only difference was hazel eyes. She cried out, but something was wrong with me, I couldn't move. My eyes traveled down to my legs and they were profusely bleeding, and didn't show signs of stopping. "Stop it! Stop it now!" I cried like a lost child, which I seemed to be in this nightmare.

"Never lose yourself, Alice. You know where you belong." She whispered as the dream faded out, leaving me with nothing but a cold sweat and dried tears.

"Andrew?" I croaked into the lonely room. I must've not screamed, because then he'd be in here. I swung my legs over my bed and padded across my room until I reached the door. "Andrew?" I pleaded again. I needed him, so where was he? I knocked on his door once, twice, three times getting louder. The door creaked slightly and I pushed it. His room was empty. His bed was made. His pillow looked fluffed. That's when my eyes caught onto something fluttering around on his bed because of the open window. I grabbed at it and realized it was a note.

Hey, Brynne! How you doing, bud? I took your brother out for some bonding time, but you might want to come meet me before things get out of hand. He's a fighter, you know. See you later! ;)

My mind buzzed as millions of thought flew through it. If I knew one thing for sure, Dr. Overly was mad and he was going to do something that hit me the hardest; that included hurting people I love. I sprinted across the hallway back into my room still clutching onto the note. I yanked up a pair of tight and dark jeans and threw on a comfy black v-neck. He was going to hurt my brother. I didn't even consider for a second to tell my parents, instead I called Gavin.

"Gavin!" I panted, beginning to get worked up.

"What do you want, Brynne? It's 2 in the morning." He grumbled when he answered.

"Dr. Overly took Andrew. I don't know how or when, but he's going to hurt him and he left me a note. I need you to come get me. Now."

"He what? I'm on my way." I heard Gavin shuffling around.

"I'll tell you when you get me. See you." The line clicked off when I hung up. I knew whatever the doctor was planning to do to Andrew was bad, but I wasn't sure quite how bad. Why is he mad at me now? What did I do? What did Andrew do to get himself involved?

My feet flew down the steps with my phone in hand and as quietly as I could I pulled the door open. I paced outside until Gavin arrived and I ducked into his car.

"What happened?" Gavin asked. I read him the note as he sped down the street, heading towards the doctors place.

"And I had a dream that he killed someone who I loved, I think it was my real mom." I quipped.

"Oh."

"What do you mean 'oh'?"

"Oh as in the fact that he has chips in our arms that can locate us, who knows what else they can do. Maybe they can see what we think or dream."

"Oh. Could he be mad about that?"

"Not sure, but it's the best guess we have." We arrived at the abandoned looking building quickly. Stealthily and attempting to not make much noise we slithered out of the car and snuck through the door.

"Coast is clear." I whispered to Gavin who was grabbing a bat out of his car. We scooted down the walls in the many hallways, following the source of voices. "It's Andrew's voice." I murmured and felt tears prick my eyes. I was scared as hell and it sounded like they were arguing.

"You're going to die if you don't tell me what you know." Dr. Overly said.

"I don't know anything! I don't know why I'm here or why you're calling my sister a morph!" He retorted, pretending not to know about us. That was a good brother. I suddenly heard a loud thump and my heart started pounding. I wanted to yell out Andrew's name to know if he was okay.

"Let's go." Gavin whispered into my ear, making my hair stand up.

"Are we interrupting something?" I asked, trying to play it cool.

Dr. Overly whipped around, revealing Andrew with a bloody head and laying rather still on a table. There was a hammer in the doctors hand. "Oh, hello kids. Wasn't expecting you so soon! You look nice, Brynne." He smirked.

"Shut up." I threatened, but my voice betrayed me and it came out shaky.

"We have some important business to discuss. Please have a seat, you two." He motioned to the chairs but Gavin and I stayed standing.

"What did you do to him?" Gavin's voice sounded strong, but by reading his eyes he was about as scared as me.

"Oh, don't worry, he's just passed out. But I will kill him if you don't sit and answer my questions truthfully." Dr. Overly emphasized the will.

We quickly sat down while Gavin his the mini bat behind him.

"So, have you all been having any dreams recently?"

"No." I spat.

"Lies." Dr. Overly sighed and lifted up the hammer again. He hovered it over Andrew's head. "Do you really want me to do it?" He sounded bored.

"No! Okay, I have been having dreams, but just simple ones of a mother." Anything to protect Andrew, even though that was still a lie.

"Now kids, you know I check in on your minds every once in a while and I can tell you have new information in there, it runs through your blood and the chip reads it. I know that you know something I don't need you to know."

"Maybe I should just kill you here and now with my bare hands." Gavin spat moving his bat around and glancing at me.

"Now now Gavin, don't make me call security on you."

"Just please, don't hurt Andrew." I paused, procrastinating so I could give Gavin some time. "He doesn't know why he's here or why he's involved. Please, I'm begging you, please please please." I sounded convincing. Now I needed to keep going until Gavin had the right time. "I'll let you do whatever if you let him go."

"Well," he drawled, "I could erase your memories again, but that takes a lot of effort. So, I could just do this again till I get answers." The hammer hit Andrew's head again and I cried out.

"Stop!" I pleaded. Gavin then leapt out of his seat and hit Dr. Overly in the head. He played baseball and you could tell by the way he swung. The doctor collapsed and grabbed his head, groaning. I kicked him where it counts then ran over to Andrew.

"Andrew? Can you hear me? Andrew?" More thwacking noises came from the other side of the room but I wasn't paying attention to it anymore. "Gavin! Help me get him up!" I called after the doctor fell and you could tell he would be asleep for a while.

We slung Andrew's arms over both of our shoulders and dragged him out in between us.

Please be okay, Andrew. Please be okay.
