Ashtrid's POV
Napatingin ako sa mga litratong ibinigay ni Eros sa akin. Isa isa ko itong tinignan at agad na nagtaka.
Pictures of old man in different angles. May isang nakikipagkamayan, may isang nasa restaurant, may isang papasok sa sasakyan at iba pa.
He's quite..familiar. Politics perhaps? Gamit ang nagtatakang tingin, parang nabasa ni Eros ang aking isip.
"This is your first mission." He uttered coldly.
I arched my eyebrows at crossed my arms.
"Kill him." What? Kill him? Naagaw na nang buo ni Eros ang attensiyon ko.
"Why?"
"An influential person wants him dead. Isn't he familiar to you?"
My eyes widened when I realized who is he. True enough, I'm sure he's a senator. I just dont remember the name!
"Senator William Park. 58 years old. I received a call from a powerful person." He answered.
"At bakit naman susundin?"
He pinched the bridge of his nose and exhaled deeply.. Na para bang nawawalan na siya ng pasensiya sa akin.
"Because we get paid in assassinating. If you think we have no connections in your government, then you're wrong."
"What do you mean by that, Eros?"
"They pay us, we kill whom they want to be killed. Only the filthy rich can afford to pay us, dahil malaki ang halaga na kailangan."
So the unknown killings that happened, sila ang may pakana?
"Do you kill even the innocent?" I asked.
"Money determines our action. Innocent or not pinapatay kung kinakailangan." Malamig niyang sambit.
"Ayoko."
"What?"
"I said I don't want to do it!"
"I've trained you for this!"
"To protect myself! Not to kill other people!"
"Don't be hard-headed, Ashtrid!"
"Give me a one damn good reason why I have to!" I challenged him
He glared at me. "Because like us, he killed people, raped innocent high school girls and threatened them if they try to speak up.."
