Chapter 12

"Welcome back, chieftess. "

Hiccup let go of Astrid but with hands entertwined together when they heard the familiar voice. They turned around and looked dowward saw Kai standing there looking at them with a smile on his face. Kai already guessed that the chieftess will be here after all, the first person who she wanted to meet was the person who she loved the most.

"Hello, Kai. " Astrid said. The moment she spoke, Kai immediately knew that it was lady Astrid. The spark in her eyes had resurfaced, the fiery which existed in her eyes was reborn again. Tears were starting to shimmer in Kai's eyes but Kai just rubbed his wet eyes not letting the tears dripping down. Astrid could see a few pointy ears popped out from the bushes nearby eager to come out but without the courage to do the actions made her smile. "Come out, little ones. " The elves slowly came out from the bushes and their big bubbly eyes landed onto Astrid. Hesitated, but their eyes continue lingering at Astrid and stopped, when Astrid smiled and sticked out her tongue.

The elves cheered with their mini hands on the air.

"Now, now. I'm sure the chief and the chieftess wanted some time alone. So run along. " Kai said as he shoved the elves away. Although the elves were a bit disappointed but as soon as Astrid winked at them signalling that she would come to play with them again, they went home obediently. Kai gave them a winked on the left eye and left. The couple chuckled at the elves' expression. Then, Hiccup's face changed. After all, he still haven't tell Astrid about everything.

"So... " Hiccup was giving her a hesitation look trying to find a way to start it. "What's wrong? " Astrid asked in concern. She did not realise that she miss a lot of things during her sleep. Hiccup still continued rubbing his hands and turned away from her. Astrid put her hands on hip not really enjoying his nervous. "What's going on? " Astrid started to tap her feet, pupils in her eyes started to shrink becoming a narrow slit like dragon eyes, teeth started to sharpened, fingers turned to claws.

Hiccup could feel sudden shiver in his bone, a dry in his throat as he saw the changing in hers. If he was the death of his bloddy enemy, then his Astrid would be the death of his. He put his both hands in front of him as a shield of protection and said "All right. All right. " Then, Astrid reverted back to normal in a second to his relief.

"Okay, so the Berkians came. " Hiccup said as he closed his eyes and ears to avoid his milady's wrath. Astrid flinched her eyebrow not really contemplating his sentence. "Say what? " Hiccup took a large gulp, gripping at the edge of his tunic and spoke it with a gentler tone.

"Like I said, the Berkian came. Precisely, Stoick and the gang came. " Hiccup said. Astrid blinked her eyes furiously as she stared at Hiccup, feeling her legs and hands started to numb as the memories of hers in the past was triggered back to her mind. Her eyes lost her soul suddenly. Hiccup saw that and quickly shook her to get her attention. "Don't you dare, going back to sleep. I just got you. I'm not going to lose you soon. Besides, I won't let the Berkian hurt you anymore. " Astrid raised her head as her eyes looked deeply into her lover's eyes, a determination was sparked in his eyes giving her a slight confidence.

And that was more than enough.

"Alright. Then, let's meet them? " Astrid asked in defeated. Hiccup wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, sweeping her into his arms, carrying her in a bridal style as she shrieked in delight. "That's my girl. " Hiccup said as they made their way out of the forest.

And so Hiccup waved his hand in front of the door, with a gust of wind, the door opened.

"Honey!!!!!! " A high pitch voice was heard throughout the walls. The dragon riders and the vikings winced in pain by the sudden shriek. Thuggary tried to swallow the large stone in his throat but he was unable to, taking a deep breathe and ready to run for his life. However he did not have the time, because the next thing he knew, a girl with armor outfit hopped onto him.
