Jake's POV

Even though he had opened his eyes, there was something blocking his vision. Everything around him was dark, of course, and he could barely hear anything. He felt there was something inside his mouth which wouldn't let him open it. And his head, it hurt terribly in the back.

Some memories came to him. How he had gotten drunk with Sophia, except that she didn't look as wasted as him. In fact, she didn't even look tipsy.

Jake tried to move his hands, but found out they were attached behind him, in the chair he was sitting on. Wait a moment.

"I think he's awake," he heard a female voice yell. If his head didn't hurt that bad, maybe he would've tried to figure out who had talked.

He heard noise around him, but it was maddening that he couldn't see anything.

"Well, well, well," another voice, a male one, spoke. "Looks like we can finally have fun with you awake."

He did recognize that one voice.

"Teddy?" he said, but the name was muffled by whatever he had inside his mouth. Someone retired it with certain strenght, and Jake moved his jaw.

"I wanna see you trying to get out of here," mocked Teddy with an amused tone. "You have a bandage covering your eyes, you're attached to that chair and we got weapons. Any sudden move and you're gonna be dead like this," Teddy snapped his fingers.

"You're pathetic, man," said Jake firmly.

Next thing he felt was the worst pain in his jaw. Teddy had punched him in the face. He felt how his teeth betrayed him and bit his tongue, the metallic taste of blood through his lips. He spit, disgusted.

"Do you need me to actually kill you to understand what have you done?" said Teddy.

"I didn't even do anything!" replied Jake, snuffing.

He heard a maniatic laughter. "Oh, poor Jacob. Let's see if this refreshes your memory," Teddy cleared his throat. "Amy and I were a happy couple, we would hang out all the time and we had so much fun. Nothing was blocking our way, we really liked each other."

Jake rolled his eyes, but of course Teddy couldn't see it.

"And, then," continued Teddy, his voice through clenched teeth, "an idiot named Jake Peralta," Teddy threw another punch to Jake's face, "came in and just stole her from me," he now slapped Jake, "like the fucking jealous little bitch he is."

The last punch was to Jake's stomach. His lungs stopped processing air for seconds, and when he could breathe again, he entered in pain. But let's not forget he had drunk like ten bottles of beer himself last night, so he couldn't avoid throwing up. He grossed out by that, but couldn't do anything about it.

When had that all gone dark? That escalated very fast.

"But no worries," said Teddy happily, as if he hadn't just hurt a man. "That idiot I'm talking about won't live for much longer. And we need Amy Santiago to see that idiot in pain, so she knows how we feel about you. Isn't that right, Sophia?"

"That's right."

"Sophia?!" repeated Jake, lifting his head, trying to find the provenance of his ex-girlfriend's voice. Las night he thought they were going back together until he... got knocked out.

"What, Jakey? You thought I would forgive you just like that?" said Sophia, making the voice one uses to talk to a five-year-old boy.

"Honestly, yeah," answered Jake, scoffing. Once more, Teddy punched him, and he felt as if someone had opened a faucet in his nose as blood started coming out. Rosa's voice sounded inside his head 'your stubborness is going to kill you some day', she had kidded. At the moment, he sketched this proud smile and they both had laughed, but he never imagined it was actually going to happen that way.
