Amy's POV

She and Charles were on the break room, Jake's mom was being interrogated by Rosa in that moment. They were debating who they should bring in next, and she couldn't stop thinking about Teddy. Jake had clearly pissed him off the last time they had met, but Teddy didn't seem like the kind of person that would kindnap someone just because they ruined their relationship with someone else.

However, she was concerned she could be missing something.

"Amy," suddenly said Charles, his eyes widening. He looked really tired, his clothes were already messy and he had a cup of coffee in his hands, but seemed really excited when he called her, "what about that girl he was dating?"

"Who?" asked Amy.

"He never told me her name, but sure we could get into his apartment to see if we can find out, maybe there is something there that could tell us."

"Great idea, Charles," said Amy, smiling weakily. "We should go right now."

Charles nodded, yawning.

"Or you two could rest," said Terry, entering the break room. He also had red eyes and a tic on the left cheek, but maybe the yogurt he was eating calmed him down. "Maybe I should help you with the case and you could have some sleep, you've been here all afternoon."

"That's really considerate of you, sarge, but I don't think I can sleep," said Charles, getting to his feet.

"But you look really tired," said Terry, "both. If you don't sleep your heads won't be useful."

"We need to help," replied Amy, yawning too. "I can't rest until we find him."

Her vision became blurry, she felt her eyes tearing up. She was so weak in that moment, defenseless and easy to hurt. But she couldn't rest, she was sure of it. She needed to know Jake was okay. Immediately.

"Come here," said Terry, huggin her. Charles joined, also crying now. "We're gonna find him. There's no way he's hurt, okay? He's alright, don't worry."

"We can't know that," retorted Amy, shaking her head.

"Sh, sh, sh," said Terry, "he's fine. Now, why don't you two get some sleep?"

"Fine," said Charles, and as soon as he said that, he passed out in the couch.

Amy laughed weakily and whiped her tears.

"I'm actually gonna sleep at my apartment," she said, lowering her head.

Terry caressed her back and she left the precinct.

Why, she was still wondering. She needed Jake to comfort her.

She just needed him.

Jake's POV

He just needed her.

Jake couldn't stop thinking about Amy, but due to him starving there, he was practically delusional. He had already heard her voice several times, and it had just been a couple of days. He wasn't gonna last.

Teddy was there, again laughing at Jake. He really was pathetic.

"So, Peralta," said Teddy, amused, "how do you want me to kill you? It has to be slow, though, and Amy's gonna be here by the time you are about to die. You know what? I will decide, let's see what happens first."

"You really are nuts, aren't you?" said Jake smiling, just to tease Teddy. "Do you need therapy? I would take you if I wasn't locked here, not joking. Like, I always tell my friends I don't need therapy but they look at me with these eyes, it's so funny."
