Regina grits her teeth and scowls, as she hits the buttons on the blender on an early Friday morning. "Come on man!" She whines.
Killian yawns and makes his way down the hallway to see his frustrated expecting wife in the kitchen.
"What's wrong?" he asks. "Honey this blender is crap, how can I make a healthy protein shake if the buttons don't work?" She scoffs angrily. "Mm I think I see the problem," he reaches behind the appliance, and holds up the plug.
"Oh," Regina whines. "See? The caffeine is getting to me," She huffs. "I told you it would," Killian goes to pour himself a cup.
He turns to see a glaring Regina, "You're really going to say I told you so?" She scolds.
Regina is now three months into pregnancy and indeed feeling the difference in her caffeine intake.
Killian sips his coffee, "Here baby, why don't I make the shakes and then we can go for a little run and then to Tiana's?" He suggests.
"Great, so I can be teased with everyone else drinking a full on espresso and I only get a half caff," She pouts, and Killian pats her behind off.
He chuckles and shakes his head, knowing this is only three months into the nine month pregnancy.
"Wait, you didn't give me a kiss," she comes back in a huff. "Oh, I'm sorry," He puckers up, and takes her into his hug.
As Regina puts her lips on his, the taste of his coffee is there. Savagely she hangs onto his lips and puts her tongue in his mouth gathering whatever flavor of his coffee she can get.
"Mmm," she pulls away realizing she's onto something, "You know I think you need a hazelnut latte later," She muses. "Okay," Killian catches his breath and Regina shuffles off to get ready for the day.
After the pair have a workout, they head to Tiana's in the afternoon.
"Well Hi Mommy," Tiana greets her. "I want coffee, I'm sad," Regina pouts sitting down. "Oh you can kiss me after mine," Killian kisses her cheek going to the other side of the table.
"Here, I did come up with a half caff that will at least simulate a regular," Tiana puts a cup down for Regina.
Regina drinks her little half caff and looks at Killian like an animal stalking prey. Her eyes pierce at him, as he places down his mug. "Are you going to jump across the table at me?" He asks.
"I don't know, maybe," Regina thinks.
Regina scoots her chair, closer and closer. Killian smirks, as she is right next to him. "I mean, we don't want to look like horny teenagers," Regina said. "As youthful as I think we look, I'm sure neither of us pass for that young," He joked.
"Come here," She tugs his shirt, and kisses him. Powerfully, she pushes his head back tasting everything in his mouth. "Okay get a room," Ruby comments walking by.
"Regina is feeling a little withdrawn from the caffeine," Killian said. "Ah, well I know what will distract you, shopping," Ruby puts her apron down. "Aren't you working?" Regina asks.
"Yes, but I'm letting her go help you a while without the smell of coffee around you," Tiana said.
Ruby holds her hand out to Killian. "What?" He scoffs. "Credit card would be nice," Ruby mused.
"What? I thought you were treating her?" Killian asks. "To a couple things but come on," Ruby whined. "Bloody hell, guess I should get used to that becoming a father," he hands over his Visa to Ruby's opened palm.
"Hey, ready to go?" Bella enters. "She's coming with us," Ruby smiled. "Here you go," Tiana hands Bella a to go cup over the counter. "Oh thank you, Regina you look wonderful," Bella says and takes a sip of her coffee.
Regina glares at her, and smirks. "Wow, hey hey," Killian interrupts. "Yeah, she's mine," Ruby tugs Bella away. "What did I miss?" Bella asks. "Just keep that coffee close," Ruby winks.
"Come on mommy to be," Ruby encourages. "Okay well if I can't kiss her," Regina kisses Killian again, wildly. "Mmm, see you later," He smiles and she heads off with the girls.
"What did you get?" Regina grins at Bella as they head out.
As Killian gets some writing done he gets a phone call, his editor. "What? Really? A signing tour?" He asks a bit in surprise.
"Uhh, when?" Killian asks. His brows furrow a bit, not really enthusiastic. "Uh, you know that isn't gonna work. My wife is expecting our first baby," He says.
"Yeah I know it would be good promotion, but I can't, it's our first baby," He said. "Okay, okay," He writes down notes listening to his editor.
Tiana overhears and can't help but hover.
"Okay, yeah I'll umm keep you posted on the due date," he says hanging up.
Killian looks up and Tiana is staring at him. "What? I'm not doing it, he just told me keep him posted on when the baby comes and we can work it out when I can go," Killian said.
"I know, just.. pretty impressed," Tiana said. "I'm not about to miss my first baby born and be with Regina." Killian said.
Later on, the girl returned to the apartment, "Well? This is it?" Killian looks at the few bags they have. "Well they're delivering the rest," Ruby informed him. "Can I have my card please?" Killian holds out his hand.
"So how's my caffeine craving wife?" Killian asks gently brushing her hair from her face. "I'm okay, look at this," Regina holds up a little onesie that says 'Love you a latte'
Killian smiles widely, and gives her a kiss. Regina clenches her lips around his, and pulls away into a pout, "No coffee," she whines.
"You'll get there, I think I found us a Lamaze class to start at month sixth," He said. "Oh really? Look at you accomplishing things," Regina mused.
Taking off his jacket, a small piece of paper leaves his pocket. Regina bends down to pick it up and looks at him funny. "What's this?" She furrows.
"Umm, my editor called about a book signing tour," He tells her. "Should we?" Ruby asks. "Yeah, can you excuse us? We'll see you tomorrow, thanks for taking her," Killian holds the door and they shuffle out.
"It says the book tour is the last month of pregnancy," Regina worries. "So? I'm not going, I just was writing it down, he said to let him know when the baby comes, and we can probably move it," Killian said.
"So you're not doing it?" Regina asks. "No I'm not, not at those dates, don't worry," He says gently.
"Oh, okay," She sighs. "Hey," he tips her chin up. "I'm here every bit of this, you know that, I'll do it after the baby," he assures.
"Okay.. I want coffee," she pouts.
He chuckles
