Regina smiles, contently, resting her head against her hospital bed. She's peaceful, and filled with joy and happiness as she stares at Killian. He's gazing, with a proud grin on his face, staring at his hands, as they hold their little girl.
The baby is swaddled in pink, and about six and a half pounds. His hands are so large holding the newborn, and she gently coos and moves as he smiles at her. "Look how tiny her hands are," He says.
"I know," Regina beams at them.
"Okay, we have to come in, we're dying out here," Ruby pokes her head in the door. "Sure, come on in," Regina nods.
"Oh my god," The three women, Bella, Tiana and Ruby swoon.
"Can I?" Tiana approaches, "Of course," Killian gently places the baby in her arms. "Oh my, Hi, I'm your auntie T, TiTi, I like that," Tiana gushes.
"Oh give her," Ruby takes the baby, "What's her name?" Bella asks. "Umm Molly," Killian informs. "Molly bean," Ruby smiles at the baby.
"She is ridiculously cute, look at those hands," Tiana swoons. Killian gently rubs Regina's shoulders as the baby is gushed over. "She looks like a little beignet," Tiana sighs.
"Hi there," a nurse enters, "Sorry it's time for our first nursing lesson," she tells everyone. "Oh okay, bye Molly," Ruby hands the baby back to Killian.
"I can stay right?" Killian asks. "Of course, you've seen them," Regina says taking the baby close to her. "Okay so to start sometimes you need to tickle their chin to open their mouth," The nurse says.
"Oh okay.. Oh," Regina peeps. "There she goes, she's a natural," The nurse said. "Like..--" Killian starts, "Killian!" Regina scolds. "She's a piranha," Regina winces. "You'll get used to it," The nurse said.
"Umm can I have regular coffee now if I'm nursing?" She asks. "Yes, not much of the caffeine goes through the breast milk as long as you don't exceed three cups a day, and space them a bit away from her feeding, and you can have one alcoholic drink a day as long as it's a few hours before her feeding," The nurse says.
"YES!" Regina glees. Killian laughs.
As the pair settle into parenthood, Regina finds her energy has kicked back in, to keep up with Molly and her schedule. Killian feels the wave of sleeplessness but is too in love with the little girl to even notice.
"Babe, did you mean to put my face cream in your hair?" Regina asks. "Ah, I knew it wasn't stiff," he sighed. She giggles at him, "You're tired," Regina said.
"Yeah well, look who's worth it," Killian smiles playfully at the wiggling baby in her swing. "She is," Regina sighed.
"I think she looks like you," they say in unison. "Oh she does not, she looks just like you," Regina argues. "What? That smile is you," He denies.
Carrying the carseat into Tiana's, "There are my favorite beans," Tiana looks over the counter. "Solve the debate, who does Molly resemble more?" Regina asks.
"Killian." they both say together.
"What? You're all ridiculous, that baby is Regina," Killian said. "Just because you're madly in love doesn't change the fact that baby is you all over," Ruby said.
"She's way too pretty," Killian said. "You're very pretty honey," Regina mocks. "Okay," he groans.
Killian holds Molly as he works, she's four months now, and doesn't mind just being held there, until she gets hungry.
*Baby Wailing*
"Do you mind?" A man leans over the order counter. "What?" Tiana asks. "The baby crying," he states. "What about it?" Tiana scoffs. "I'm trying to work here," the man says.
