Regina watched Killian prepare some tea and he brought it to the table as any good host. "I have good wifi," he reveled.
"Right, I'm sure," Regina assumed and sat down in what she assumed was a good spot. "So you can sometimes concentrate here?" Regina asks.
"Mm, not really, but I figured why not give it a try and like I said, those books would be useful to you," He said. "Well you could have just brought them," Regina states. "Yeah, I could have," Killian says factly, with an amused expression.
Killian's POV
It's driving her crazy, she has no idea if this is a date or not.
Regina side eyes him a moment, onto his game as he picks up the string of his tea and lifts it up and down in the cup. "Why do I feel you're teasing me?" She asks.
"Am I?" He feigns. "I mean, aren't you?" Regina presses. He leans back in his chair, lacing his fingers behind his head, in an almost challenging way. "How?" he flicks his tongue at the corner of his mouth.
"I... ummm, I don't know," She sighs, defeatedly.
Killian's POV
She's precious, when she's nervous and not stiff.
"I assure you I'm not meaning to tease you in any way," He smiled.
Regina's POV
Liar, he absolutely is.
"Fine," She stiffens her posture and looks towards her computer, ignoring the obvious tension and aroma of his cologne surrounding her nose.
Killian 's cheeks puff into a smile behind his computer screen, as he lets her brood for a bit, knowing that her legs are clenching again under the table.
After only noises of clicking keyboards went on a while, Regina cleared her throat as interruption. "So, at the end of your recent book, Cassandra had to make a decision," Regina pondered.
"Mmm, correct," Killian nods. "Is that answered after a while into the next one or right away?" Regina asks. "I told you I give no spoilers, you'll have to read it and find out that answer," He said.
"Okay, well, you now tricked me into telling you that my books are all tied together in a subtle way, so I figured you would give something back," she shrugged.
"Mm, kind of like a little deal huh?" He tips his head upward. "If that's how you want to look at it," Regina said casually.
"Okay, come here," Killian grabs the arm of her chair, and pulls her next to him. "You can read that paragraph right there," He points.
"Okay," she puts her glasses on and reads the words on the screen.
"Try not to drool on my laptop," Killian whispers in her ear in the most sultry way possible.
Regina's POV
Oh my god, this man. Of course he has me read a provocative sex scene like this, right next to him, smelling him and whispering in my ear, are you kidding me dude? Not to mention how the hell did he pull me over here with one arm like that?
"This is a reunion between them?" She asks. "More or less, not giving you more than that," he smirks.
She turns her head to him. "They're passionate, I'll give you that." She said. "Oh don't praise me too much," he jokes.
"No, I just. I told you I already loved your work," Regina defends. "Yes, and I yours, we covered that, tell me something else," He tips is head. "What do you mean?" She dismisses.
"Something not about books," he adds. "Oh, ummm, I love pesto pasta," Regina states. Killian chuckles, "I didn't expect you to say that, but good to know," he nods.
Killian's POV
I don't know how long I can keep teasing her, it's been ninety minutes and even I'm growing a little weak.
"Are you hungry? I could make dinner or order it," he suggests. "Did you get what you needed to get done today?" Regina asks. "Not yet," he looks away subtly, and pushed himself to standing.
Regina feels herself take a deep breath as she watches him walk to the kitchen. "You know, I may actually have pesto in here," He goes to his fridge.
Regina picks up a book with some information for herself, and opens it, walking towards the kitchen, "I definitely could use this, if I'm allowed to take it?" Regina asks. "Mmm, but then how would I get you to come up here?" He flirts.
"You could just ask, and be a little more forward, instead of teasing and tricking," Regina sasses. "Ouch," he mocks.
"Have I not been obvious enough?" He asks. "About what?" Regina asks. "About why I really asked you over here?" He bites his lip and rounds the counter to stand in front of her.
"That scene I had you read isn't in the next book, I just wrote it, for the hell of it," he admits. She gapes at him, "You just decided to write some dirty scene for me to read and watch my reaction? That's a little perverted," Regina scolds.
"I like to think so," Killian smirks.
"I should hit you with this book," Regina threatens. He raises his eyebrow, unaffected.
"No you won't," He said. She crosses her arms in a pout as he takes the book placing it on the counter behind her, and puts his hands on either side of her on the counter.
"When I first met you, you're not the type I envisioned behind the mystery fantasy you so masterfully create," He said.
"Is that a compliment?" She raises her own brow at him in speculation. "In a way yes. I expected a darker woman, not someone who gets a little nervous around me and clenches her legs. You seemed a lot more put together than that," he said.
"And what? You're saying I'm not dark? Or .. something?" She quirks. "I'm saying clearly I've broken through that stiff exterior of yours, and I like it," he said.
"You've broken through nothing, and are beating around a bush, perhaps you're not as confident as you think you are." She snaps.
"Really? My hands are on either side of you, I'm leaning over you, you're adorably petite, viciously sexy, and I want to bite your lower lip," He growls.
"What?" She gasps.
"Exactly," he smirks briefly before diving his lips into hers. She's surprised and opens her mouth at will.
With her behind pressed halfway up onto his counter, his hand slides off the marble and onto the curve of her ass wrapping his fingers into a grip upon her hips.
"Mmm," she groans as he breaks off her mouth.
A smile slides across his face. "This was obviously a date, wine?" He offers. "You're an ass," She scoffs.
"Mmm, and yet my hand is on yours," he whispers. "Right.... I.. noticed," She breathed.
"So this was a date I was right," Regina huffs. "Mmm, yeah well I wanted to ask you out as soon as I knew who you were, but this was my way of cheating and not being like a creep," Killian admits.
"You're still kinda a creep," Regina teased. He furrows his brows, and squeezes his fingers where they haven't moved. "Why?" he asks.
"You could have just asked me out like a normal person," She scolds. "What fun would that be?" He mocks.
