Part 21

"Do you need anything from the store?" Patty yelled from the doorway. "Joe?!" She walked towards the sofa and saw him snoring lightly. She sat down and brushed her hand over his cheek. "What are we going to do?" She whispered. She got up and by the time she reached the door Joe called her name.

"Are you going somwhere?" He rubbed his eyes while yawning. "I could go with you."

"No it's fine really." She declined.

Joe snorted. "You're going out with him again aren't you?"

"Joe... Just... let's not do this." She exhaled playing with her car keys. "It was not my choice to be like that."

"Yes, yes it was." Joe got upset all of a sudden. "You wanted me just as a fuck buddy didn't you?" He chuckled. "I always loved you."

Patty rolled her eyes and slammed the door. "Oh it that so?" She laughed. "Did you also love me two weeks ago when you begged Julija to take you back but she refuzed to?"

Joe stood there breathing heavy. "What are you talking about?"

Patty walked towards his computer, opening it up and a messinger text apeared on the screen sent to Joe by Julia. "How pathetic of you. I didn't want nothing to do with you'r sorry ass so you ran straight to her. How convinient." She read out loud. "Don't give me the I love you crap when I am just someone who you run to when you have no one else." She walked away, furious.

"Is everything okay?" Brad asked her while driving to the restaurant. This time she made sure they chose a diferent one.

Patty faked a smile. "Peachy." They arrrived and Brad pulled out a chair for her. "Thanks."

He sat down and frowned. "Kids shouldn't be alowed in here, loud beasts." He comented out of the blue, chuckling.

Patty loked at the mom who was dining with two kids, by hersels. She looked like she will break down any second. "Don't you like kids?" She laughed thinking it was just momentary, that maybe he is really tired.

"Oh no." He chuckled. "I hate kids." He sipped his wine and looked at the menu. "They suck the life out of you, just look at her." He pointed to a mom.

"So if your girlfriend got pregnant?" She quetioned looking from her menu.

Brad chuckled. "That won't happen, I had a vasactomy. Thank god right."

"So you would never date someone who has a child from before?" She sipped her juice.

"Oh hell no." He gulped down the wine after giving mom a glare. "There is so many women out there why would I chose one with baggage?"

"Woaw Brad, thank you." Patty stood up and picked up her bag. "Thank you for showing me what a dick you really are."

Joe decited to make an apology dinner for Patty. Even though she was wrong and he never begged Julia to stay. It was just another scam of hers and she succeded. "Where does she keep the wine opener?" He whispered to himself. He looked in every drawer bit he couldn't find one so he ran downstairs in the shop.

Joe tryed unlocking the door but it was already unlocked. He stepped inside and saw Patty eating Nutella with a large spoon. "What are you doing home so eatly?"

"Mhm." Patty murmured, eating a large spoon of brown desert. "Nonna called."

"Did she?" Joe acted like he knew nothing about it. "What did she say?"

"Oh quit it Joe." She took a step dangerously close to him. "I know you called her." He wanted to pull her closer and kiss every part of her body.  "Why did you have to make her worry?" She punched him in the shoulder.

"I'm sorry, don't get upset okay." He apologized and sat down on a kitchen chair. "We need to talk."
