Part 47

Early in the morning there was a knock on Patty's hotel door. "Just a minute." She announced, lifting Sofia on the sofa so she could watch cartoons. "It must be our brekfast." She hopped to open the door but then it hit her like a cold shower. "How the hell did you find us?" She whispered with clenched teeth.

Joe was annoyed with her atitude but he was longing for her kiss. He started leaning in but she backed off. "Why didn't you tell anyone you were going somewhere?" He whispered, defeated almost.

"I'm not ten anymore." She rolled her eyes surprising him with sudden coldness.

"Daddy! You came." Sofia ran in his arms, kissing his face. "I missed you."

Patty turned around and walked to the sofa. Joe and Sofia sat down next to her. After a few minutes Sofia dozed off to sleep so Joe carried her to the bedroom. "Okay tell me what is it?"

"Nothing." Patty lied. "I wanted some time away from... You."

Joe rubbed his head. "Fuck. You heard." He whispered making Patty's head turn. He knows something she does not so she stayed quiet. "It was only one kiss. Just one I promise." Joe grabbed her hand, telling her his secret that she had no clue of since now.

"You kissed someone?" She furrowed her eyebrows. "Who did you fucking kiss." She threw a pillow in his face.

"I tought you knew." Joe pannicked. "I tought the reason you left was becahse I kissed Laura."

"Laura? The restaurant secretay?" Patty snorted. "How convinient really." She wanted to stood up and leave when he pulled her by her hand. "Don't fucking touch me when the story is repeating fucking again." She warned.

"What are you talking about?" Joe raized his voice. "Why did you left if not because of this?"

"Because I'm fucking pregnant you dumb ass." She cried. "I am pregnant with a man that goes around kissing another woman when he made a promise he will not hurt me again." She broke down, sitting on the sofa. "How the hell do you expect me to go through this alone again. I can't."

"I would never let that happen." Joe smiled from ear to ear. "We are pregnant. Isn't this the best news ever?" He giggled. "We are pregnant and I love you."

"No!" She protested. "I am pregnant and you are not mature enough to go through this with me. You have just proven this." She wiped the tears away. You can stay here because of Sofia but don't think for a second that we are okay."

Patty walked to the balcony where she closed her eyes and tryed to calm herself down. Joe slammed the door behind him as he stormed on the streets of Paris alone and with exact idea what he will do.
