Jughead POV
My mom is making us watch a movie together. During the movie I gets text. I look at my phone it says an unknown number. I look at the text is says Hey it's Betty. I add her number to my phone.
Jughead: Hey Betty what's up
Betty: My brother thought you were my boyfriend.
Jughead: Brother? Thank god I thought that was your dad.
Betty: Nope. Just my brother.
"Hey Jughead get off your phone" My step mom says.
"Oh my god. How did you get the new girl's number." Parker says
"She asked for my number and I gave it to her." I say
"No fair. Wait give me her number" Parker says and gets his phone out.
"No it's not my place to give it to you" I say
"Ugh you're so annoying" he says
"Good job Jughead you got a girls number" my dad says and I roll my eyes.
"Do we have to watch the movie" Parker groans
"Yeah it's Thursday we have school tomorrow" I say
"Fine go well do it tomorrow." She says and turns on the light.
"Actually I can't I have to work on a school project with Betty" I say
"Her name is Betty thanks" Parker says
"Ugh no she's gonna kill me"I say
"Why is she gonna kill you" dad says
"She told me Parker has been tormented her. He kept asking her out and she said no but he kept asking." I say
My dad starts laughing."Gosh she said no why ask again"
"She is just playing hard to get" Parker says
"I don't think so" I say
"What you think she likes you" My brother laughs
"I never said that. Anyways I'm going to bed good night" I say and walk to my room. I get into my pjs. I turn off my light and get into my bed. I text Betty back.
Jughead: sorry my parents were talking to me.
Betty: it's okay I'll see you at school okay
Jughead: okay good night 💤
Betty: night Jughead 😪
I put my phone on the charger and then go to sleep.
Betty POV
We are walking to the library.
"Betty you look shorter than yesterday" Jughead says
"Yesterday I was wearing boots with heels on them. I'm wearing sneakers"I say
"Are you a sweats and sneaker girl or a sweater jeans and boots type girl" he asks
"Definitely sweats and sneakers" I say
"Hmm I'm hungry... Let's go to Sunny's Corner Stop" he reads off the building.
"I have no money Jughead" I say
"I do come on I'm starving Betty" he says
"Fine. Wait does the library even allow food." I say and Jughead drags me into the store.
"I don't know but I'm hungry" he says and gets 2 bags of chips, a soda, and a bag of candy. I get a drink, a box of Mike and Ike's, and some gummies. Jughead pays and then we leave.
"Okay now can we go to the library." I say
"Okay Fun-size" he says and chuckles
"Hey not funny" I say and hit his shoulder.
"I'm sorry it's really funny" he laughs. I glare at him and then he starts running. I chase after him.
He stops " Okay okay I'm sorry" he says out of breath. I smack the back of his head.
"Ow I said I'm sorry Betts" he says and opens the door for me.
"Betts?" I say
"Yeah you like that name better" he says still pouting about me hitting him.
"Yes and I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you." I say sarcastically
"You're a bully" he says
"Thanks Jug" I say
"Okay let's start the project" he says
"So this is about to really easy." I say and sit down.
"How" he says and sits down on the chair next to me.
"I'm a hip hop dancer" I say
"So the dance part is about to be hard" he says
"Any ways we need to find books about the first hip hop dancer, the most popular dancer right now." I say
"Okay let's go" we stand up and look for books. We look in the book shelves.
"Jug I think I see one up there" I say and point to a book.
"Then get it" he smirks at me. He comes and gets the book.
"Thanks" I say and roll my eyes
3 hours later
"Can we leave now" I say my head is on the table.
"We are still writing our research down. Well I am. Do you have any candy left." He says
"Yeah I have Mike and Ike's" I say and get them out of my bag.
"Can I have some." He smiles at me
"Sure now you owe me" I say and pour some into his hands.
"Ugh my head hurts" I say
"Then let your hair down" he says
"I don't feel like it" I groan
"You just want me to do everything for you." He says and takes my hair down. He puts my blue hair tie on his wrist.
"Okay back to work." I say and pick up another book.
Later
Jughead POV
I'm walking Betty home from the library. We got all our research done. All we need to do is put it on a slide show and make a dance. Betty says she is in charge of that.
"So next time my house" I say
"Sure I would love to go to your house and meet your parents" she smiles
"My brother will be there but we'll be in my room." I say
"He better not or someone is gonna end up with an black eye and it wouldn't be me." She says
"Yeah I bet you would." I smile
"So when am I going to your house." She says
"Hmm how about Monday. But I was thinking if you're free tomorrow... You'd maybe wanna hang out. We could go to pops and then I don't know go to the park." I say as we stop in front of her house.
"That'll be cool Jug" she smiles
"What time" she says
"I'll be here around two" I say
"Okay times up go home!" I hear a man yell.
"Shut up Charles" Betty yells at him.
"I'll see you tomorrow Jug good night call me when you get home." She smiles
"Night see ya tomorrow" I smile and then walk home.
