"Absolutely not," Alexander said and slammed his bedroom door on Y/N.
"Alexander! Why won't you go with us!" Y/N said and knocked on the door. "There is no 'with us'. I'm going alone and that's that," He said as he grabbed a bag and began filling it. "So you agree that George was kidnapped by the Queen's men?" Y/N exclaimed. "Of course not. But when Philip showed me the note I knew what had to be done. I've been stalling for 19 years and I have some unfinished business with the Queen. If I see George, I'll tell him you said 'hi'." Alexander said. "Oh come on! Why can't I just come!" Y/N whined.
"Because this is something I have to do alone, Y/N. Going to the Queen is a suicide mission. Bringing you and Philip along would be a massacre!"
"Or it could make your job easier!" Y/N said and knocked on the door again. "Oh please, you'd get in the way. I fought an actual war. What'd you do? Fought with Philip once? Verbally, might I add," Alexander said as he opened the door with a bag. "I need to come along with you! George is special to me and-" "Blah, blah, blah... Couple stuff really makes me nauseous," Alexander grunted and walked past Y/N.
"You're married," Y/N reminded as she followed him. "I said couple, not marriage," Alexander said as he went down the stairs. "You can't stop me from following you!" Y/N said. "I can run," Alexander shrugged.
"What's happening over here?" Eliza asked as she approached the two. "Love, I'm going to Britain for a couple of months to THE thing," Alexander said. "You don't mean the THE thing," Eliza whispered. "Yes that thing," Alexander said which made Eliza gasp. "Wait, you're in on this?" Y/N asked. "It's complicated, Y/N. This has been a lingering problem for our family. He has to go if he thinks the time is right," "Fine. Guess I'll just stay here," Y/N sighed and went back upstairs.
"Well that was easy," Alexander commented before turning back to Eliza. "Promise me you'll be back as soon as you can," Eliza mumbled, fumbling with her fingers. Alexander sighed and gave her a kiss on her forehead. "I promise," He said before walking away.
It wasn't hard to find a boat to sail to Britain. Alexander had many connections, so he could hop on a boat and go wherever he wanted to go. For a small fee, of course. It was very late or very early, depending on how you looked at it. Anyway, Alexander got a room in the big cargo ship and relaxed because, for the coming ten weeks, he would be traveling to Britain.
The crew wasn't nice, but that was the least of his worries. He didn't like traveling by boat for a long time. Just brought up bad memories in his opinion. As they reached week nine, on a calm afternoon, something happened. Alexander was on deck, writing in his journal when it happened.
"Oi, we have a couple of prowlers here!" The cook yelled as he came out of the kitchen, bellow deck. Behind him were two crew members with two trespassers. Alexander looked up and was about to leave, not wanting to take any part of this. But when he saw who the two dumba$$es were, he grunted. "You've got to be kidding me," He mumbled and covered his eyes. Of course, the intruders were Y/N and Philip who had decided to climb aboard without anyone's consent.
"Did you really have to eat more of the bread?" Y/N asked Philip as they were being tied up with rope. "I. Was. Hungry. What'd you want me to do?" Philip spat as his ropes were being pulled tighter.
It amazed Alexander how long they could hide from the crew. Especially for the entirety of nine weeks. The captain came out of his cabin. He looked at the two for a second before ordering: "Throw them off-board. I can't afford to feed two mouths,"
Alexander was really tempted to just let them be thrown off-board. But of course, he didn't let that happen. "They're with me!" He said, raising his hand in the air and walked up to the cook. "Oh, thank God," Philip sighed. "See, I told you he would help us!" He told Y/N. "You owe me ten dollars," He chuckled. "Okay, fine," Y/N groaned. "You made a bet?" Alexander asked his son with a frown.
"Mister Hamilton, these rats can't stay here. We don't have the food," The cook explained a bit more civilized. "What if I pay you?" Alexander asked. "We don't have food." The cook repeated. "You can't just drop them in the sea!" Alexander argued. "Well then what do you suppose we do?" The captain asked from his cabin.
"Well, anything but throw them into the sea."
-An hour later-
"I didn't mean drop us off in France!" Alexander yelled as the ship raised anchor and left. When he realized they couldn't hear him anymore, he sighed and turned to the two younglings. Before Philip could say anything, Alexander said: "You're grounded until I'm dead. Now explain," Philip sighed with a sheepish grin. "Well, she burst into my room after you left and said:"
"Philip, I know you're angry at me and stuff. But we need to get on a boat and it's now or never. Join me or decimate our friendship forevermore,"
"Wow." Alexander sighed and rubbed his eyes. "That was the stupidest reason for doing something stupid I have ever heard," He said. "Thank you, I get it from my father," Philip said.
Alexander shot him a glare before walking away. "Where are we going?" Philip asked as he and Y/N followed him. "We're going to the only man who can get us safe to Britain," Alexander said.
