Last time on 'Philip is an obsessed boi and Thomas likes tea'
"Does he have a secret cousin or something?!" Philip asked as he intensely stared at George. "I don't know! I didn't invite his folks! Maybe he came in uninvited which means that I can kick him out," He suggested as he grabbed Philip's shoulders. "Good idea. You kick him out while I get Y/N as far away from here as possible," Philip agreed never letting his eyes leave George. "Okay, go,"
Philip scurried off and Thomas straightened his jacket and walked to George with a sigh.
"Mister Eacker!" Thomas smiled as he approached George with wide arms. "I didn't know you would be here!" He smiled. George smiled back. "I heard Y/N would be here so I slipped in with my parents. The servants didn't really notice so we proceeded," He explained with a chuckle and Thomas joined the laughter.
'B*tch, you come into MY house and then tell me that MY staff sucks? How dare. The disrespect. I have never. My wig has been snatched.' Thomas thought with a smile which might have been a little too wide.
"So how are the studies going?" Thomas asked. "Good, good. Hopefully, I graduate sooner rather than later," The student answered. "Right, right. Well, I have to go check in with my staff and tell them they're doing a bad job," Thomas said almost twitching his eye. Before Thomas could leave, George stopped him and asked: "Do you know where Y/N is?" Thomas turned around and waited a second before answering.
"Oh, she wasn't feeling well. I think she already returned home with Philip,"
"Oh," George mumbled, sounding very disappointed. "Yeah. Y/N and Philip. They're quite close. Some may say that they're soulmates but hey, who am I to vocalize what everyone around them is thinking?" Thomas shrugged and walked off leaving George stunned.
As he marched toward the door to tell the servants they should be doing a better job at their job, he spotted Eliza sitting alone at a table. The host in him arose and he immediately changed course toward her.
"Enjoying yourself?" Thomas asked as he sat down beside her. "Oh, mister Jefferson!" Eliza snapped out of her daze. "Yes, I'm doing well. The food is excellent, the air smells of freshly plucked peaches, the lighting is cozy and the music is overwhelmingly atmospheric. You've outdone yourself!" She said. "Oh please! I always make sure my guests get the best experience ever so they long to come back and relive it all again," He answered, waving his hand around a bit.
"Where's your husband?" Thomas asked after they remained silent for a while. "Somewhere drinking some kind of wine he found? I don't really know what he meant though. He laughed like a crazy man while explaining his 'plan' and I wasn't really listening," Eliza said. "Wait. MY EXPENSIVE WINE?!" Thomas yelled and shot up. "THOSE ARE FROM FRANCE!" He continued as he ran off to seek Hamilton.
Eliza sheepishly yet nervously smiled. She had gotten used to their behavior. Once Alexander and Thomas literally had a sword fight to the death. Obviously, no one died but Washington did feel the need to yell at both of them as they kept blaming each other. With a look of dismay, she stood up to fetch some wine. As she asked one of the servers if she may have some wine, she made some small talk with the nearby lady who had also asked for a drink.
"Oh no, it's terrible. My husband talked to this Smith persona but I know my husband never stops talking about random topics," The lady rambled as Eliza nodded knowingly. "MY husband is the definition of random. I don't know what goes on in the head of his," Eliza sighed and sipped her wine. "You're Hamilton's wife, right? I've heard so much about him," The lady said. "Good or bad?" Eliza asked before she chuckled with the lady.
"You are Eacker's wife, no?" She then asked. "Yes, how'd you know?" Eliza bit her nail. "There's this girl, a friend of my son, who is residing at our house. I've heard the name 'Eacker' here and there and started to ask around. I had a great understanding of who George is and after a while, I noticed your husband walking with him,"
"Observant, are we?" Miss Eacker chuckled. "May I ask the name of your guest?" She asked. "Y/N Laurens," Eliza answered. "Goodness, could this Y/N be the girl who's courting George?" She asked getting a bit closer to Eliza as if she was telling a rumor. "No! Really?!" Eliza was shocked. Miss Eacker hummed. 'I thought Philip and Y/N were a thing' Eliza thought.
She remembered something Angelica told her a few weeks ago. She had deemed it as 'just a rumor' but now it all made a bit more sense. Angelica had told her that Philip went to Thomas' house every so often to learn how to swoon Y/N. Of course, Eliza didn't believe it. She thought that it was in Philip's blood to have a natural hatred for Thomas. However, the papers Philip left scrambled around his desk did start to add up.
"You'll have to excuse me, I have to find my son," Eliza suddenly said after she zoned out. "I'll come with you. Perhaps I'll find mine on the way," And so they were off.
It didn't take them long to find Philip. Especially when Philip is standing in the middle of the room with a red face. "I'm sorry. What can I do to make it up?" He asked Y/N and fiddled with his fingers behind his back, not looking directly at her. "Nothing, but it was rude-"
"Philip!" Eliza called and Philip turned around. "This is miss Eacker. She told me her son has some connections with Y/N," She explained. "I wanted to introduce her to Y/N," As Miss Eacker and Y/N started to talk, Eliza grabbed Philip and asked:
"What have you been up to?"
