[name] slowly opened her dark blue ocean eyes, a confused look appeared within her eyes as she soon sat up in her bed. A little light-headed for she didn't get enough sleep the previous night since she was extremely excited to be attending her first year of high school.
Living alone in a rented studio apartment wasn't too bad for her since her parents were working overseas, and she had been living by herself ever since her last year in middle school. She soon stretched, remembering what she had dreamt of once more.
Dreaming of a man, yet she couldn't tell who it was. Nor could she even see his eyes in the first place. [name] then decided to push back that dream of hers, and proceeded to check her phone. A smile plastered on her face as she realized her mother had texted her a good morning, despite it being almost close to 3 in the morning at her end.
Mother: Good morning, [name]! I hope you've slept well, and today is your very first day of high school! I'm so sorry that me and your father aren't able to be there to give you the support you needed, but please remember that we love you so dearly, and do take care of yourself!
[name] could only smile as she replied to her mother. Placing her phone on the bed as she got up and stretched, popping the air bubbles that had accumulated during the night. [name] then proceeded to head for a shower, noticing it was almost time for her to start preparing for her first day of high school.
As she was showering, she could hear the door to her apartment being opened, and knowing full well who had entered. She then quickly turned off the shower and dried herself up, and soon put on her uniform as she continued to dry her hair.
Her pair of dark blue ocean eyes then met a pair of pale purple eyes, along with a pair of black eyes as well. A smile plastered on her face as she realized the Shinazugawa brothers had came to pick her up.
"Genya, you don't look like a middle schooler with that height of yours," [name] commented, and Genya could only blush in response as he was still a little awkward around girls. She then turned to look at Sanemi who was busy helping her in making her bed and soon checked her bag as well.
"Packed everything you needed?" he asked, and [name] nodded in response.
Being childhood friends with the Shinazugawa family sure did have its pros and cons. The pros were that she would never feel alone, and would always have someone to spend time with, even if it's just for a simple study session. And besides, she gets to have an older brother and a younger brother too.
The cons? They are extremely overprotective.
Once when [name] was only in the second year of her middle school times, she received a handwritten love letter. She told Sanemi about it, and the next day, the scowling boy was seen at the school gates of her middle school, asking every boy he sees to whether they were the ones who had given [name] the letter.
"Feels kind of sad though, that you're in your third year now, Sanemi-kun," [name] commented, and Sanemi could only shrug his shoulders in response as he carried [name]'s bag on his shoulder, together with his.
"Come on. Genya's going to be late too," and [name] hummed in response as she proceeded to comb her hair, and followed the Shinazugawa brothers out of her studio apartment after putting on her shoes.
She was then seen walking in between the Shinazugawa brothers who each had a scowl on their faces as they looked at whoever was looking at their direction. Well, being overprotective of [name] was definitely in their blood.
Walking the same direction for Genya's middle school was at the same school where [name] and Sanemi were attending high school for. With Sanemi being a new third-year, and [name] having her first day as a high schooler.
