"Oh my god, Sanemi-kun! Even till now, you don't know how to do a proper tie?" [name] teased her childhood friend who had a scowl on his face as he had came over to her house to prepare for his graduation ceremony. How long has it been ever since he met her? Months now, after all, he was so busy with his studies that he didn't have time to drop by to visit her and ensure she was okay.
"So, how have you been?" he asked, and [name] hummed in response with a smile on her face.
"I've been well. Kaigaku and Ume kept me busy the entire time so that I wouldn't get distracted by wondering if you are doing well with your studies," [name] answered truthfully which Sanemi could only grunt in response.
"Come on, I'll help you do your tie," [name] called out as she motioned for Sanemi to come closer. He then sighed in defeat as he had fumbled with his tie too much that it became so tangled that he was about to rip it apart then. He then watched as [name] easily undid the tangle with ease, and soon took a look at her motions.
Her delicate fair hands moved about swiftly and elegantly, whereas the smile still appeared on her face. She soon was done and pushed the knot up, tightening the tie around his collar. She then hummed in satisfaction at how handsome Sanemi looked then.
"Do not, by any means, remove the tie until the graduation ceremony is over, okay?" [name] threatened when she saw Sanemi's hand was moving up, trying to loosen the tie a little. He then mumbled a little under his breath, only to have [name] smacking him on the head.
"I'm not deaf, Sanemi-kun," and Sanemi could only sigh in response. He then took a look at [name] who was dressed in her uniform as today she still had lessons to attend to, after all, she was just only a first year.
"Ready to go?" he mumbled out, and [name] hummed in response. She then grabbed hold of her bag and proceeded to put on her shoes, whereas Sanemi was already waiting for her outside. She soon locked the door, and the duo was soon seen walking down the pavement, heading to school together.
"So, what are you going to do after graduation?" [name] asked and Sanemi shrugged his shoulders slightly.
"Probably apply to be a mathematics teacher," he mumbled out and noticed [name] was raising an eyebrow in response.
"You? Do you even have the patience to do so?" [name] teased and easily dodged the hand that Sanemi shot out, wanting to grab hold of his childhood friend by the back of her neck.
"You looking down on me now?" and [name] stuck her tongue out, causing Sanemi to have an irked mark on his forehead along with a scowl on his face as well.
"Then what about you? What are you going to do once I graduate?" Sanemi asked, and [name] laughed slightly.
"What else can I do? After you graduate, I'll be left with two years of high school," [name] commented and Sanemi then noticed the sadness lingering in her voice. He then decided not to ask her about it, and soon they reached the entrance of the school.
"Want me to walk you to your class?" he asked, and [name] shook her head.
"No need to, I'll be going now. See you later, Sanemi-kun," [name] said with a smile and waved goodbye to her childhood friend who then waved back and soon walked away, going the different direction of [name].
"Ah, Akane-san! Just in time, I think Michikatsu-senpai was looking for you," a classmate of hers called out, and [name] then nodded slowly. Deciding that she didn't need to find Michikatsu at all since things weren't settled yet, she headed straight for her class.
She opened the door, and was greeted by a crying Ume.
"[name]! Nii-san is graduating! It means he won't be able to spend time with me!" Ume whined out and [name] could only smile at the way Ume was feeling. A similar feeling she was having when it comes to Sanemi.
