08. Bet

Michikatsu sat in his classroom together with his group of friends. He was busy on his phone as he was playing a game together with his brother who was in the next class. Since it was a free day, they decided to kill some time before heading off to enjoy the rest of the day.

"Michikatsu-dono~ Are you listening?" and Michikatsu looked up for a split second and back to his game as he realized his brother had requested for help. Doma then pouts in response as he pulled a chair over to Michikatsu's table, and placed his elbows on his table, along with his head resting on the palms of his hands that were put into a 'V' shape.

"What do you want?" he mumbled out as he realized he just died in the game, and he lifted his head and looked at Doma who still had that stupid grin on his face. Hakuji immediately slapped his bottle against Doma's face, causing the rainbow-colored eye man to yelp in pain.

"Ah. Did Doma piss you off again, Hakuji," a deep voice was heard and Gyutaro was seen entering the classroom.

"You seem rather early today," Michikatsu spoke out, clearly sarcasm was laced through his sentence. Gyutaro then chuckled in response as he took a seat in front of Michikatsu, a grin plastered on his face as well.

"I saw a beautiful girl when I was on my way to school," Gyutaro spoke out, and Doma raised an eyebrow in response.

"Beautiful? How beautiful? Pictures!" and Gyutaro nodded in response as he got out his phone and handed it to Doma. Doma's rainbow eyes then widened as he realized Gyutaro had taken a photo of [name].

"She even attends our school!" Gyutaro added on, and soon Doma handed the phone to Hakuji who then raised an eyebrow in response.

"She's the childhood friend of Shinazugawa. Better be careful if not he might bite your head off," Hakuji warned as he allowed Michikatsu to take a look. His dark purple eyes widened slightly at [name]'s photo, and soon a smile appeared on his lips unknowingly.

"Eh? Michikatsu-dono is smiling at a photo of [name]!" Doma taunted and Michikatsu then shot a look at the annoying friend of his. He had to admit, the moment he laid eyes on [name], it felt as if he had known her way back. There was a familiar sense of warmth radiating from the girl, and to add on, her scent still lingered on his blazer as well.

"Michikatsu-dono, want to play a game? If you can get [name] to fall in love with you and get her to agree to be your girlfriend, I'll pay for the rest of your school lunches for this year," Doma asked, and Michikatsu raised his eyebrow in question.

"Is this one of your tricks in breaking girls hearts?" Hakuji asked as he shoved Doma's face to the other side.

"Hey! It will be fun! Unless Michikatsu-dono is afraid of falling in love with [name] instead," Doma taunted, and somewhere in Michikatsu did he snap a little.

"Fine, I'll play your game. But, you'll be paying for the household expenses that I and Yoriichi have for the whole year," and Doma's eyes widened when he realized he can't back out from the request that Yoriichi had stated.

"Looks like your bet backfired, Michikatsu is willing to do anything to not pay for household expenses," Hakuji commented whereas Gyutaro burst out laughing his ass out. Doma then sighed in defeat as he agreed to Michikatsu's request.

[name] laid in her bed after she had washed up. She was a little too tired for her liking and was about to doze off, only to hear the door to her apartment being unlocked. She slowly sat up as a smile appeared on her face as she realized Sanemi had skipped the rest of the free day and decided to come and check up on her.
