"What do you mean you're not staying?" My mom asked as I tossed my bags into the trunk. "Where you going?"

"I got an apartment ma." I replied and closed the door. "But its only five minutes away so don't get crazy."

She crossed her arms, eyebrows furrowing. "I don't get it. What's the matter with living with your mother, huh? You embarrassed of me of somethin?"

I chuckled before walking up to her. "No Ma, I'm not embarrassed of you. I just need my own space."

"You have a whole bedroom to yourself, Y/nn. What more do you want, a bathroom?" Laughing, I wrapped my arms around her and pressed a quick kiss to her temple. "I just got you back and you're leavin."

"I'm not leaving, I'll be right down the street. And I'm coming over for dinner so we can make some homemade pizza or somethin' okay?"

She pulled away quickly with a frowned face. "Pizza? See you don't need to leave. Since when is pizza a thing in your vocabulary huh?" I gave her a look and she waved her hand. "Alright alright, you better be back tonight." I nodded and walked back to my car, waving at Juno to come out and she bounced down the stairs before crashing into my mom. "I'll see you tonight dear, make sure Y/n doesn't keep you away from me for too long again."

"I won't nana." She said with a giggle before sliding into the car. "Stef's not coming?"

"He's helping Pop fix something in the parlor. He should be there in a few hours or so." I pulled out of the driveway and started down the road to our new apartment. And when I said it was five minutes away.. I meant it. "So, Stef and I are gonna have to leave in a few, okay? We'll drop you off at nana's and be back for dinner."

"Where you going?" She asked and I looked at her with a smile before facing back forward. "Is it something to do with that hot girl from the store?"

"What's up with you and calling girls hot lately? Are you gay, June?" I said in a joking tone but she kept a serious face and shrugged. "Oh.. well.. I mean it's cool if you are because you know me.."

"Yeah I know." She smiled before reclining the seat. "So, does it have to do with her?"

"Yeah actually. I'll explain everything later but.. I'm gonna be making some serious money now. I'll finally be able to take you to Disney world like you've always wanted."

She snorted. "That was when I was seven." I looked at her silently. "I wanna go to a strip club now-"

"June." I sighed before laughing under my breath. "Disney world, take it or leave it."

"Fine.. but I also wanna go to the beach out there." She looked over and pointed at me. "With a mimosa."

As I pulled up to the apartment, I turned off my car and turned in my seat to look at her. "You've been watching Sex and The City again haven't you?" She pursed her lips and slowly opened the door. "I told you that you're not old enough for that show, Juno."

"But you let me steal from people." I gave her a look as I climbed out. "I don't know my limits anymore, mom. What am I old enough to do and what am I not old enough to do? It's all.. mush."

"Okay no, I don't let you steal from people." I gave her a pointed look while pulling out bags out. "Just the bad people."

She clicked her tongue before silencing her next words when I saw a man walk out of the apartments. "Hi, you must be Kaylee Jennar." He said and reached his hand out to me. I casted a subtle look at Juno when she snorted. "I'm Richard, the landlord."

"Nice to meet you Richard. Do you mind helping us with our bags?"

"Not at all." He smiled and took the bags I handed him before walking back into the structure while I wrapped my arm around Juno, leading her back to the car.
