Brooklyn Magic Y/ln everybody

"And that's why they call me Cali Boy." I stared at Ross silently as he smiled widely, drinking on a White Claw. Juno, who was sitting in the back of the room on her phone, started to laugh loudly at my dumbfounded expression.
"Oh.. okay." I scratched my head and I heard a laugh. Cindy came back in.
"Get out, Ross." He shrugged and stood up with his.. 'beer' and left while Cindy sat down. "Hi." She said with a smile and I smiled back. "Flower has to go pick up Brooklyn from preschool so, that leaves me."
"It does." I clasped my hands together. "So, were we close?"
"We've kissed multiple times so.." My eyebrows shot up and she chuckled softly. "Yeah, I'd say we were close."
"Wait so, did I date both of you? What kind of player ass was I?" She fell into a laugh and I chuckled, my head shaking. "Remind me of Don Juan." Her laughing soon stopped, a glimmer of amusement in her eyes. "What?"
"Well, you were called Don Juan. That was your nickname." My jaw dropped and she nodded in agreement. "Yep. Your specialty was married woman-"
"Oh my goodness." I groaned out as I dropped my head into my hands. "That's terrible."
"Well, it was married women who had assholes husbands and you 'gave them what they were missing.' According to you." I groaned even more and she laughed harder. "It's quite funny to see how different you are."
I looked up through my eyelashes and she shifted in her seat. "How so?" I mumbled lowly.
"You're just.. different." I cocked an eyebrow as a sigh left her lips. "You were always a serious-ish person but now it's like, you're also professional. So it gives off a different vibe." I nodded slowly and she shrugged. "And Flower said everything about you is bigger-"
"Okay." I shook my head with a chuckle. "So about her. We were really like.." I trailed off and she nodded with furrowed eyebrows.
"Oh yeah. You guys were joined at the hip every day. And at first I hated it because I wanted you." My eyebrows raised slowly as she sighed. "But then I realized how good you were for one another."
"How do you mean?" I continued to ask, curious about how I ended up dating a damn semi psycho.
"Flower is expressive." She said, a small smile pulling at her lips. "She's not one to hold things in. Though we all tried, you were the only one to truly tame her." I hummed with a slow nod. "You gave her an outlet to get her feelings out calmly, and she brought a spark to your life. Remember I said how you were a serious person? She made you a big kid."
