Third person POV
I looked

Fist flew rapidly as the girls battled head to head, both trying to get the upper hand.

"Harder!" The girl exclaimed and a fist came flying at her head but she expertly dodged it, sending the other stumbling forward. "Terrible." She mumbled and they both stood in front of one another again, hands raised. "Again."

They started to fight. A fist came into a rib cage, followed by a knee. The brawl soon ended up on the floor and the girl on top raised her fist, prepared to slam down.. but she stopped.

And that hesitation gave the other the opportunity to roll her onto her back into a choke hold. "Why did you stop?" She hissed, pulling tighter. "Answer me Y/n."

"Because." She wheezed out, tapping her arm rapidly before sighing against the front of her body when her neck was released. "I didn't want to ruin your beautiful face before dinner tonight, Nics."

The other girl rolled her eyes before pushing Y/n off of her, head shaking. "You are useless." Y/n simply smirked before grabbing her face and connecting their lips. "You're finally being moved up.. you gotta take this serious babe."

"I know, Nicole, I'm ready." Y/n stood up and stretched her arms as Nicole pulled the torso protection gear off, then throwing off the face mask. "See? Look at that beautiful face. I couldn't hit that.. I mean I could hit that because I do hit that." She added with a wink.

"You're ridiculous. Go shower before we're late. You know I hate being late." She called over her shoulder and Y/n nodded before following after her.

Once Y/n had stripped and gotten into the shower, she let the warm water wash over her face before grabbed shampoo and starting to wash her hair. Then, she stopped once she felt the scar. The same scar that changed her life forever.

Nurses and doctors rushed through the corridor, speaking at a fast pace to one another loudly as they pushed a gurney down the hall. "Blood type?" A doctor called out as they swung into a room where they transferred her to a bed.

"O positive!" The nurse said, hooking needles into Y/n's arm.

"She's in shock we need to get an IV, quickly." The doctor pulled the shirt off of her head and winced behind the damage. He didn't even know if he could save her.. but he wasn't the type to give up. "The left side of her skull is fractured, get some Warfarin in her Iv for swelling." His head shot up when he heard the flatline. "Get the shock machine, stat!"

The nurses rolled the machine over and he quickly grabbed the paddles before rubbing them together. "Clear!" Was called and he placed the machine to her chest, charging her. Nothing. He swallowed thickly and rubbed it together again. "Clear!" Another shock.

His hands trembled as he rubbed them together again. "Clear!"

This time, the line turned to a little bleep.. then another, and another.

He let out a relieved breath and got right back into action. "We need her prepped for surgery. I need to get in and decrease the swelling. Now!"

July 2024
Y/n POV

I woke up from a three month coma. No recollection of a thing. All I knew was my name and someone named Stefano. No family, no age, not even knowing why I was in Italy or if I was Italian. And apparently, they couldn't find a thing about me because the ID I had was scrubbed from the system. Wiped. The doctors said that I most likely remember Stefano because I was in Italy, and that name was vaguely popular. Who knows.
