Colson

I winked at my beautiful wife. She wasn't putting up with my shit though, she knew my bad days usually put me out for the whole day. I didn't want to ruin her morning, she and Tatum planned this pampering session for a month, there was no way my stupid injury was going to keep her from proceeding to get pampered. She deserved it. Plus, I was fine.

"Colson."

"I love it when you say my name."

"It's your son's name too." She came back with.

"Don't make it weird." She laughed and winked back at me. Just as Trent came running back into the kitchen clothed now instead of in just basketball shorts. He had Kase with him looking like he was drug out of bed. "Well good morning sleeping beauty."

"Shut up dad." His eyes were still half closed, hair all stuck to one side. But he was dressed, shoes and all, ready to go. "It's too early for this." I laughed, so did Tegan as she started to make him a to-go breakfast.

"It is 10am, what were you doing all night?" I asked him. The kids didn't have a bed time on the weekends, especially since during the school week they were all in bed and asleep by 9pm without a single fight.

"Playing fortnite."

"Till when?" Tegan asked him.

"I don't even know." He answered as she kissed his head and handed him a breakfast shake.

"What about Cole?" I asked.

"I've been up for two hours!" Cole came walking into the kitchen. "I was outside working on my bike." I nodded my head, that's my kid.

"We all ready then?" I asked.

"Wait where is Jensen?" Tegan asked.

"He's playing video games." I answered shrugging. She shook her head smiling. "Alright let's go, go get in big blue." Yes, I still had my truck, she's still in perfect condition too. That's my baby I'm never getting rid of her. I kissed Kayle and Colt, yelled bye to Jensen then kissed Tegan. "Bye baby, see you in a bit." She pushed me away smiling. I winked before slowly following the boys out to the truck.

"Dad do you want me to drive?"

"I've got it man." I pulled myself up and into the truck, and drove over to Dalton's. Super grateful that they moved closer. All the kids growing up together is beyond amazing. Within minutes Kase was already asleep in the back, and Cole was staring out the window. We got to Dalton's and Trent jumped out of the truck. I beeped and Dalton came out almost immediately flicking me off.

"Lazy shit." He said as he jumped in the passenger seat, Trent taking the back with his brothers.

"Fuck you." I laughed.

"Dad's knee's hurting him today." I looked back at Cole and gave him a small glare, he just smiled.

"You need me to drive old man?" I looked over at Dalton as I was backing back out of his driveway and pulled onto the road.

"I'm fine." I winced pressing in the clutch and Dalton just laughed.

"So, what we going to check out?" Dalton turned to ask Trenton.

"A truck just like this one!" He was smiling out of control.

"You taking your girlfriend out on a date tonight then?"

"Uncle D." He rolled his eyes smile still not leaving his face.

"Wait, Trent you've got a girlfriend?" I asked.
