Colson
47 Years Old
We celebrated the twins 18th birthday three weekends ago, a week later celebrated Jensen's 17th. God these kids were getting old fast. They're no longer grounded; I mean at least for now. Those three got into more trouble than all of the kids combined.
Trenton was back home and helping run everything C.W.T. which allowed me to work more from home and bring in more quotes. Cole, Kase, Jensen, and Colton were all working with him on the weekends and some nights when needed.
Kase won 1st at the race a couple weeks back, Cole came in 2nd for flat track, and Jensen was 3rd in the same race Kase had won. They didn't have another until next week, that happened to be in California.
With their winnings Cole and Kase both bought motorcycles, full on crotch rockets. More for Tegan and I to worry about of course why wouldn't they continue to do overly dangerous things that could get them killed. But they were 18 now and even though still seniors and living under our roof were within reason allowed to do whatever a regular adult could. Besides curfew they weren't allowed to break curfew during the school week, and typically weren't home much on the weekends now.
So, sitting out on the front porch and seeing both motorcycles fly into the driveway followed by a truck coming to a screeching gravelly halt followed by another car I'd never seen before, I was obviously concerned.
Cole jumped off his bike and ran into the house past me without saying a word. Helmet still on and all. I looked over at Kase who was shaking his head back and forth with a small smile helmet sitting on the seat of his bike as he leaned on it. Jensen jumped out of his truck and started for the door, the car that stopped an older gentleman got out and followed Jensen.
"I'm going to murder him!" Jensen yelled coming up the stairs.
"Care to explain?" I said crossing my arms over my broad chest. I might be 47 but I was still keeping up with my workout routines. "And who's this?" Jensen stopped realizing just now that I was sitting there.
"Dad this is Shelly's Dad, Malcom this is my Dad, Colson." I stood and shoot the man's hand.
"What's this about?"
"I'm going to kill Cole." Jensen said and slammed the door behind him. I nodded my head then looked over at Malcom.
"We all just found out your boy took my girls innocence. Emotions are quite high, became even worse when he pulled up at the same restaurant, we were all already at." My eyebrows must have hit the sky. Kase walked over slowly laughing. I looked at him and he put his hands up in defense.
"I knew nothing about it. We were just riding, going to meet Sadie and Tia at the restaurant. Jensen, I guess had found out about that crap a little while before and spit it out and everything after that happened to quick to follow." He shrugged his shoulders. "I'm here to watch Jay kill him." I nodded my head.
"Beer?" Malcom looked over at me, his eyes red obviously fuming about this new news. "Look my kids an idiot when it comes to girls. He's 18, you've got to do what you've got to do. I assume it happed a while ago though, before he was 18 so you can't hit him with statutory or anything like that. Sit down, have a beer, hit him when he comes back at." He was shocked at my nonchalant approach, but came over and sat down next to me. I handed him a beer out of the cooler. "Kase did you at least call your girl and let her know."
"Oh shoot." He fished his phone out of his too tight jean pockets. "Hey, sorry. No. I'm okay. Home right now. Well apparently, Cole f- has s-...did things with Shelly." He laughed loudly. "Yea, my Dad's here, with hers. Yea. I know he knows I have a bad mouth; I can still be respectful around him though." I laughed this time. "I'm going to stay, and see how this plays out. I know you told me you really need to talk to me. Like right now though? It can't wait till you come over for dinner? Can you come here now then? I mean I really want to see Cole get his ass handed to him by Jay. Okay, I'll be there in a minute. Do you have your helmet? Alright fine. I'll be right there. Love you. Bye baby." He tapped his screen with a smile then shoved his phone back into his pocket.
