Colson

9 Years later (43 years old)

It has been a crazy almost decade, wow talk about making me feel even older than I am. Shit, old man status, I guess? I've been trying to keep up with the times so forgive me. Tegan and I have grown even stronger of the years. I honestly can't believe she's still here dealing with my ass regardless of how many kids we have.

We haven't had any real issues with our marriage or relationship at all. Yes, there are always hard times and stress with every relationship and hell we aren't perfect, we do have our fair share of fights. But we never got to bed angry, period. That is the same when it comes to the kids, even if they get in trouble or are fighting with one another, nobody goes to bed angry in this house.

This house which we are currently building on to. Four bedrooms isn't enough for three teenagers, and two pre-teens. They all need their own space and we have enough room to build on. We're adding three bedrooms plus another master suite that will all be ground level, giving us a nice size upstairs game room, that's what the boys are all delegating it as since the old game room is officially a toy haven.

As for the kids, shit they're amazing. Trenton is now 16 just got his license and is looking at vehicles to buy. It's nerve racking as hell, just thinking about him on the road alone. The kid is amazing though, he's a great driver and all the money he's saved up he's earned either by riding in dirt bike competitions, or working beside me when he isn't racing.

The twins, Colson and Kase, are now 13 and thankfully Tegan and I can tell them apart because, well nobody else can and they have a blast with it. They're good kids, also making their own money on a smaller scale racing of course.

Jensen is now 12 and follows the twins everywhere. They don't get annoyed with him ever and make sure to include him with everything they do. They all race together which during the season is obviously super competitive in our house, turning it into a small war-zone.

Colton is way too smart for his own good. He's 10 going on 25 already. The kid is seriously a genius just like Tegan. He's amazing with numbers, and better than anyone I know at saving. He's also the funniest boy in our house besides me so I'll take credit for that.

Kayle, gosh, she's my princess. She gets spoiled by everyone in the house since for now she's the youngest at 9. She looks just like her Momma too so absolutely beautiful, oh and by far overly witty. She also can run a dirt bike like a pro so the boys have to watch out for her when she's on the track. She tends to wipe the floor with all of them, and they aren't letting her either.

Tegan, my beautiful amazing wife, mother to our awesome kids. God she's a fucking saint. In the past 10 years we've been together she's somehow never walked out those doors without letting everyone know how much she loves us all. She will do anything possible for all of us. We hit a hard point in our family when Tegan was diagnosed with breast cancer, they did surgery and still had to go through chemo. Thankfully we're going on 2 years cancer and chemo free. Oh, did I mention that she's pregnant again. Whoops. Starting all over again, that's alright though. We miss the little feet running around, and the kids are so excited to have another baby. This however is definitely going to be our last for real this time.

"Dad!" Trenton walked into the kitchen where I was sitting at the island with Kayle and Colt.

"Sup?"

"I found a car."

"Okay what is it?"

"It's a Subaru."

"What happened to the Dodge you were looking at?"
