  I push the door open and the sweet smell of the cakes and the cozy smell of bread fresh out of the oven come to me. I had just seated when the sound of a message is heard and then another and another. I can only think of one person to be spamming me, Skylar.

Sky: THENA!

Sky: ANSWER ME
[11.03am]

  I roll my eyes and chuckle, it's not like i didn't answer for 30 minutes in between texts, they have 1 minute difference! This girl.

Sky: Are you alive?
[11.04am]

me: I am alive, Sky or maybe this is my spirit texting you.

  I could see her roll her eyes but laughing at the screen.

Sky: Haha, very funny. Now back to what i wanted to ask you, do you have classes this afternoon?

me: No, i don't, why?

Sky: Great! What about we go to the cinema? Some best friend time and no, i won't talk about Ashton.

me: Stop, i know you are being ironic. That's fine by me but i have to go to the library warn Mrs Collins.

Sky: okay, meet me at the Black Fox at 3.30pm?

me: Settled! See you later

Sky: See you :)

  My eyes avert to the little numbers on the top center of my phone and widen, 11.15am, shit my class is about to start and i didn't eat! I ask for a sandwich with chicken ham and a grape juice to take and shoot out of the door.

  I sit in the middle row and pay attention, another hour and i'll be able to eat, unless i pass out until there.

  I enter one of my favourite places and greet Lisa, "Hey Li! Is your grandma here?".

  "Hey Thena! She's in her office."

  I nod, thankful, and walk behind her. I reach the door and knock two times one the wood. A soft "Come in" is heard be me and i twist the knob.

  "Good afternoon, Mrs. Collins." she smiles warmly and indicates the chair in front of her for me to sit. I take the indication and settle on the red velvet armchair.

  "How are you today, sweetie?" i hear her softly spoken voice.

  "I'm good, i was able to rest yesterday night." she gifts me a warm smile and i retribute. "I wanted to ask you if i could take the afternoon off.".

  "Is everything alright?"

  I understand her concern, i usually don't ask for days off, "Yes, everything is okay. The thing is that me and my best friend scheduled to go to the cinema this afternoon, but i said to her that i'd have to ask you first, as i work today."
