Two weeks have passed and the exam season is finally over. These couple of weeks went by even faster than I ever thought they'd go as the exams went well. Ashton kept teasing me during all this time with the long awaited surprise and my curiosity, but also annoyance, only grew.
Now, exactly two weeks later he announced that he has a surprise for me, I'm getting ready for it. Sky keeps going from one side of the room to the other, taking this and that from drawers and my wardrobe.
"Okay Sky, can you calm down? I'm nervous enough for it." I ask, the nervousness running through my body.
"I'm sorry Thena, I'm just really excited for you! It's your first big date with Ashton since October!"
"I know girl, but I'm not getting married so calm down, please."
"Yet." she winks "You are not getting married yet."
I roll my eyes and chuckle. Marriage, I don't plan on getting married, not at least in the next few years. But if I do, I can only hope it's with Ashton.
The settled time for him to come pick me up 6pm and now is exactly 5.15pm which means I have to hurry up. I join Skylar on searching through my clothes for something that could fit the unknown location. I finally find a little black dress hidden between a couple of old ones and remove it from the inside of the wardrobe.
"I think I finally found something Sky." I show her the dress and a smile instantly spreads across her face and she nods excitedly.
I put it aside and look for some shoes that could match it, finding a pair of black high heel sandals.

I put the outfit ready, laying it on my bed, and help Sky quickly tidying the mess we have made. After the room looks presentable, I head to the bathroom and take a quick shower as I'm already running out of time. The few minutes that I'm under the warm water, my mind wanders to my relationship with Ashton and how everything began on the library where I so easily got the job, because of that sweet lady that is my neighbor. We have so many ups and downs and many challenges, but my love for him only grew over the months. It's june, this college year ends in one week, and everything is coming along.
"Athena it's not time to your shower reflections, Ashton will be here in 20 minutes!" Sky yells from outside and I quickly finish my shower and hurry out of the bathroom.
"Omg, already!? Dammit, I have to hurry!"
I run to my bedroom and dry myself, spreading lotion through my body, and slip into the black dress. I blow dry my blonde hair and straighten it, starting doing my makeup right after, with a thin line of eyeliner and a red lipstick.
