thursday
2 pm

Closing the black door behind me, locking it after, I enter the elevator, pressing the ground button, and wait for it to stop at my destination. I hop off te metal box and start heading to the library.

Almost a month has passed since I met Thomas on that night and yes, we kept touch, in fact, we started seeing each other. He asked me out a week after we met and I said yes. Sky was extactic when I told her that I had a date and Calum was happy for me too, but I knew that deep down he knew that both me and Ashton, well at least on my part I can talk, were just avoiding our feelings. And he might be right, I still like Ashton, it still pains me to watch him walk holding hands with Sophie, but I have to move on, for my own good.

Thomas has been amazing. We don't share a lot of mutual interests, not as much as I shared with Ashton at least, but we always have conversation topic and I feel good around him. If it's the same feeling I had around Ashton? No, but it's a good feeling and that's enough. Maybe with time and as I forget my feelings for Ashton, the good feeling turns into an amazing feeling.

My thoughts are cut by my phone ringing on my bag. I pull it out and watch the name Thomas flash on the screen. I swipe, accepting the call.

Call- Thomas

Thomas: Hey babe! Are you going to the library?

I couldn't help but to remember Ashton when he called me that, I loved all his nicknames for me.

me: Hey Tommy! Yes, I'm heading there now, why?

Thomas: Do you want to go out tonight?

me: Sure, it works for me. What time will you be there?

Thomas: 7pm?

me: That works, I'll see you then.

Thomas: I can't wait, babe. Bye.

He hungs up and I sigh. As you probably could tell, I'm not that excited for this date night. I just feel like he tries too hard to please me and I haven't told him about me and Ashton, neithe has he met him. I'm just the coffee in a rooftop watching the sunset kind of girl, I don't need fancy and pricey restaurants. Of course I wouldn't mind that but once a month? Every couple of weeks maximum, but with Thomas is basically three or four times a week.

I push the heavy wooden door and the bell rings, signaling my arrival. Lisa looks up from her work on the counter and I smile, giving her a "Hi.". I walk behind her and open the door that leads to the staff room, finding Mrs. Collins there.

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Collins!" I greet.

"Good afternoon, Athena! How are you today?"

"I'm good, things have been calm at college and I'm going out with Thomas tonight." As I started going out with him, I told Mrs. Collins, she is like a second grandma to me and has the best advice.

"Again sweetie?"

"Uhm, yes, you know, he loves to pamper me and well, I don't want to disappoint him saying no." I bite my lip, I know I should feel comfortable and not fearful to say what I think and what I want and not want to do, but I guess I don't want him to do the same thing to me as Ashton did.
