It was the night before school started, me and monse were having a girls movie night to get ready to look our best at school tomorrow. We hung out together the whole time because we lived across the street from each other, our dads also worked for the same company so we sometimes just stayed over at eachother's houses to keep company when they were on long haul trips. We also needed a break from the boys, they could be a bit much at times, although monse couldn't shut up about one in particular. Cesar, she had been going on for hours about how their relationship would ruin the crew but to be honest I don't think anyone would really care that much.

" are you even listening to me (y/n)?" she said with attitude. I was not listening I was just trying to hear the movie, adding a few yeahs and damns in here and there.

" yeah of course," I said

" Then tell me what I was talking about then?" oh shit

"Umm.. Cesar."

"Yeah, but what?" I was in deep shit, she always got so worked up about the littlest things.

" About how much you are in love with him and how you think he is so sexy and hot." I said grabbing her cheek and smushing them like a little kid. She punched me playfully, I had successfully gotten away with it. But surprise surprise she went back to talking about Cesar. after a while I told her I was tired and was going home.

Even though it was just across the street it was dark and 12pm, and anything could happen in freeridge. I looked down the street, there was a red impala with blaring music coming my way, I recognised it as some of the Santo gang members. I rushed to get across before they noticed me. but I wasn't quick enough.

" What's a fine ass hyna like you doing out here?" said a mans voice I turned around. He was quite handsome, he had some tattoos decoration his golden brown skin. He was leaning on the window and looking me up and down.

" Im going to bed, but not with any of you." I said sharply. I heard a chorus of laughs coming from the car

" ayee she a feisty one too." they said, I just flipped them off, they weren't worth any of my time.

~ 8.20 am in the morning ~

I woke up to a blaring of my alarm, I hit snooze because I knew I had set my alarm overly early.

~8.30 am

I got up because I wanted to be prepared for my first day, but when I looked at my phone I saw that school was starting in twenty minutes! I msut have hit snooze more than once but forgotten. I raced around the house frantically, getting some natural makeup on and getting a fit together. I wore a black and red tartan dress with a black belt around and then some black boots.

As I was walking out the door I saw that monse was going off in the groupchat because me and Cesar had slept in. I didn't have time to read it but I messaged cesar to see if he wanted to walk to school together since we were both late. He said yes, I walked to his house since he hadn't left yet.

As I got closer to his house I saw a man sitting on the steps of Cesars house, my heart raced as I recognised him to be the same man who was cat calling me from the impala last night.

" Couldn't resist me after all mi princesa?" he said licking his lips

" Who are you and why are you at Cesars house?" I questioned him

" whoah calm down, Im Cesars big brother." he said smiling, omg this was spooky, he was in jail for the past few years. I suddenly got nervous as I realised who I had been talking to. He was the leader of the santos and feared by a lot of people.
