yeri.

i went into the bakery and looked through the desserts. it was still pretty early in the morning. i got up really early as i couldn't go to sleep last night. i ditched my friends because of someone who asked me out. and on top of that, i left mark by himself yesterday. i walked into the bakery, as they just opened, and i pick six mini desserts for him. i bring it up to the counter and pay for it. 

i walk to school as it was a much longer walk from the bakery to the school. i look at the time, and it was almost time for school. my walking soon turned into running. i ran through the sea of students and ran up the stairs. before entering the classroom, i spot mark walking with xiaojun, and i was going to wave at the before someone spun me around.

"i didn't know you were going to get me desserts." jungkook says and pulled the box away from my hands.

"they're n-" i start.

"thank you anyways." jungkook said and pats my head, before walking away. 

i turn around and see mark with xiaojun; they had watched the whole thing. i walk past them and walk to my seat. i didn't want to deal with them right now. it wasn't like that, i was never going to give it to him. i can't just tell mark it was for him; he won't believe me. i sat down in my seat and hit my head on the table.

"you okay there?" mina asked and i look up at her.

"jungkook. he's the problem at this point." i say and mina just nods.

"what did he do now?" mina said, while organizing her desk.

"he keeps bothering me. yesterday he dragged me out of school because he didn't want me hanging out with the others. today, i bought pastries and it wasn't for him. he took it and they saw everything." i said and hit my forehead on the table once more.

"why don't you just talk to him?" mina said and sits back.

"because he's not going to believe me." i said and look over at him.

"come with me to the shop later, i need to buy some snacks. that jerk stole the pastries i was going to share with him." i said and the bell finally rings. 

"way ahead of you." mina said as the teacher walks in.

i take attendance and school is just going to be a normal routine. second period ends, mina and i both head downstairs to the shop. we look for some snacks and pay for it. i look through the drinks and finally found it. as i reach for it, someone's hand overlaps with mine. i look over and it's him.

"you can have it." i said and quickly let go of it.

"no, it's fine. it's the last one anyways and there's no more chocolate milk. i know that you like strawberry milk." mark says and sets it in my hand, before walking away with lucas.

i walk back to the counter and pay for the rest of the snacks. we both head up the classroom and we wait for next class to start. i walk over to the window and stare at the students who had free period right now. there were out in the sun, playing around and walking. i sat back down as the teacher walked in. we got ready and started the next class.

"it's going to be a long day."
