I sighed sadly, I had quite enjoyed my time with Gobber, even if I was stuck as a Terrible Terror. I could feel Eret's glare boring its way through the back of my skull. "Don't say it," I muttered before pulling down my mask.

"Wasn't going to." He threw up his hands while defending himself.

I rolled my eyes as we continued our journey. It was silent, peaceful.

It didn't take long before we saw the massive structure that towered above the sea. Ice stuck out in every direction, encasing the once small island. I led Toothless and Eret down the small entrance into the sanctuary.

Once I landed, I let Toothless run off. Skullcrusher, Eret's Rumbledhorn, followed Toothless off to the side.

"Where have you been?!" I jumped aside as mum jumped off Cloudjumper's back. "You disappeared without a single word and destroyed all your stuff! Running away are you?!"

"No, well yes. That was what was meant to happen. But I was going to come here, I couldn't kill Hockfang." I attempted to explain as she crossed her arms at me.

"Then do tell, why didn't you come?" She snapped at me causing me to lower my head.

"The Queen took up," I mumbled quietly, refusing to meet her eyes.

"I can't hear you, speak up will ya," Mum grumbled while staring down on me.

"I said the Queen took us! She tried to make us fight for her but we couldn't and we couldn't leave," I screamed loudly before pacing in a small circle. "It was horrible. That awful voice. Her commands screamed into my head. She wouldn't leave us alone and any time we tried to leave she would force us back. Pounding, wrenching, screeching voices clawing in our minds. Changing what we can do! Day by day she forced us to watch as she ate the island's food and left nothing for the others, if they failed she ate them. " I scratch at my ears, throwing my mask to the side of me, as if she was still there, trying to remove her from me. "We couldn't leave, we couldn't watch, we couldn't have done anything different. We didn't want to do that, we didn't, we didn't"

I felt mum grabbing my arms as she pried them away from my ears. "What didn't you want to do?"

"I didn't want to kill her but there wasn't another way. We couldn't let her keep doing that." I explained sadly while wiping the tears away.

Mum just stroked my back sadly, rubbing comforting circles. "It's okay, it's okay."

We sat like that for a while before we were interrupted by a fmailar fellow rider. "Hey, there Jet, back I see." Heather jumped off Windshear before approaching me.

"Yeah. What have you been up to?" I laughed while getting up to talk to her.

"Nothing much, hunters have calmed down a bit," she informed me as we walked to the living area, spotting Eret who was sharpening his sword.

"New from the boats say they got a new weapon they plan on using but we don't know what it is," Eret added while giving me a strange look.

"Well, we'll have to find out what it is soon." I looked over the room, it has been a long time since I had been to the sanctuary but the place hasn't really changed other than adding space for our newer members.

There was one large fire in the centre of the room with multiple logs surrounding it as chairs. There was a counter for preparing food and a small section for sharpening our tools and weapons with a basket full of them. Cupboards lined the side, full of items for serving.

Deciding to do something, I went to the basket and helped Eret to sharpen some weapons.

When mum came in she started to cook, Heather helping her a little but being quickly replaced by Eret, who refused to eat anything Heather made. The dish they served was a simple chicken broth but was still really good.

It was strange going to my old room which mum had made for me in case I ever ran away. There was a simple bed in the corner and a slab of stone for Toothless. A small desk pushed to the side of the room with a pot of ink and a few pages of paper. There wasn't really anything else in the room but I didn't mind.

Toothless settled on his bed as we fell asleep quickly.

I snuck past the sleeping dragons, attempting to get out before someone found me.

"And where do you think you're going?" I jumped before spinning round seeing Stormfly staring at me.

I raised my eyebrow having not expected her or the other dragon training dragons to be here, "What are you doing here?"

"The sausage man let us go after you disappeared. We guessed you would come here," Hookfang explained as I sighed.

"His name is Gobber and to answer your question, I'm going back to Berk." I spun around to leave but felt myself being picked up by the back of my shirt. "Let me down."

Stormfly, who had grabbed me, opened her wings and took off. I kept struggling until she flew out of the sanctuary.

"What are you doing?" I asked in shock.

"If you had kept going that way you would have sprung Hether's traps," Meatlug explained as my eyes widened.

"Right, reminder to myself, visit more often." I muttered as Stormfly dropped me and I turned into a Nightfury.and leveled out next tothem.

"You got a plan?" Hookfang asked as I shrugged.

"Rumors and concussions," I stated simply.

Toothless let off a disappointed grumble as I laughed at him.

We arrived on Berk during the middle night, deciding to sleep in the cove rather than go into town or onto the beach.

I wanted to wait for Gobber anyway. I promised him I would tell him what happened.

"So, you're telling me you killed the Queen of the dragons by using the dragons against her but ended up unconscious and only woke up four days ago but they thought you were dead and came to get you." Gobber repeated back to me as I nodded. "How'd you find out they weren't... ummm.... evil?"

I laughed while petting Toothless's head. "I've always known."

"How?" Gobber asked again.

"I'm not sure you want to know that," I stated but a single look told me that I had no choice but to tell him. "I kind of can talk to them,"

Gobber gave me a mix between disbelief and horror while freezing. "You're joking right?"

"No."

"How?"

"One, will you stop asking that. Two, I have no idea. I've always been able to talk to them, Toothless practically raised me when I was little and stopped me blowing up the town." I explained while petting my brother's head.

"Wait, you can blow things up?" Gobber asked, causing me to flinch.

I let off an awkward laugh before rubbing the back of my neck. "I may or may not be capable of becoming a dragon." I gave him a shy look as he gulped.

"Can you show me?" I jumped up nodding happily at his question. He didn't want to kill me. That was a good sign. I turned into a Terrible Terror before landing on his shoulder. "Sharpshot?"

I nodded before turning back to normal but keeping out my nightfrry wings, tail and ears. "Yeah, it was me, but most people call me jet when I am in my dragon forms." I explained while looking at him for any sign he was going to attack me.

"What happens now?" Gobber asked as I smiled.

I was going to explain my plan but I was interrupted by a sudden roar. "Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, how dare you leave without my permission?!" Mum screamed down as she, Heather and Eret arrived on the island.

"Sorry, but I promised Gobber I would be back." I defended while pointing at my old mentor. "Besides, the acapella is going into chaos."

"And claiming you killed her won't end well." Mum scolded me as I crossed my arms.

"I wasn't going to claim that." I snapped back.

"Then what were you going to say," Heather asked me while jumping between me and mum.

"I was going to say I had been captured and witnessed the killing. I was going to say that a group who I didn't know came and did it, a group called the Dragon riders."
