Dear my king,

Weeks have past, months even years since you have left us. Nothing seemed to change and yet everything did. I'm not sure where you are right now, but I like to think that you are somewhere peaceful. I hope this letter finds you and you like reading about this world I've started to make.

At first, people hated Ave and I but they've grown more and more accustomed to us. It seems though that every year we manage to come up with something new to shock their world with.

I've taken the role of Alpha and two years ago Dad somehow convinced me to become chief. Took a long time for him to get me to agree with that but I guess I couldn't go back on it once I agreed.

Ave is getting better and changing into all kinds of dragons now. He was actually getting on well with Fishlegs, the two would go searching for new dragons for Avery to turn into. Fish became the official Avery dragon sitter when the rest of us didn't have time.

I try to make time for him but, leading Berk and most the dragons means I have little extra time. Still, it's nice to see him jumping around with the hatchlings. That was a surprise and a half. There was a boy and a girl, both hybrids like us.

You would like the girl, Freya, she is very feisty, but that's what happens when you let Astrid do the baby sitting. She has my raven hair and Avery's eyes. She spends most of her time being a Deadly Nadder, a nightmare if you annoy her. The boy, Aric, is more intelligent and very shy. He looks more like me than Ave but his hair and eyes are Ave's rather than mine. He spends most of his time as a Nightfury, something Toothless claims was because of him.

We are still having a bit of a problem with hunters... I say a bit, I mean a lot. That's why I'm writing this to you this time.

Tooth met someone last week, a light fury. She showed us this world under the sea. We are going there, all the dragons in the world are going there. I've appointed Astrid as the next chief. I know she will do well, I hope so anyway.

I should get going, the family is waiting. I hope you are happy, my king.

See you soon,

Hiccup, Jet, Haddock III.

I folded up the letter, setting alight with my plasma blast.

"Hiccup! Are you coming?!" Ave waved at me, flying over the entrance to the hidden world. Freya and Aric flying by his side.

"Come on Dad! Storms said she would teach me to fire a spine into the target from 50 meters away," Freya said excitedly, causing me to roll my eyes.

"Really?" I flapped my own wings so I could join them. "I can do it from a hundred." Smirking, I turned to look at my village one last time. I noticed Avery looking towards Berk with water in his eyes. "I know this isn't the home you wanted, but we need to leave or we are all in danger..."

"Hics, any place with you, is home to me." Ave leaned in, pacing his lips on my and forgetting to flap his wings- like usual. I let out a loud laugh, holding his waist to stop him falling into the water below. "I guess I still can't help falling for you."

Rolling my eyes, I kissed him one more time before dropping him, watching him with an evil grin on my face as he opened his wings and went down the large whole, our children following him down.

Closing my wings, I fell backwards. The wind swirling around me as I dived into our new land. Our hidden world. Our dazzling home.
