[Ginny's POV]

The smell of freshly baked pancakes and maple syrup enters my nose as I wake up from a long, peaceful slumber. I look over and see the spot next to me's empty. Cody moved in about a month ago, so I've gotten used to waking up next to him by now. Remembering what day it is, I quickly pull on my dressing gown and fluffy slippers and head downstairs, excited. Following the smell of freshly prepared goodies, I find Cody in the kitchen, adding the final touches to what looks to be a spectacular birthday breakfast.

"Babe!" he calls out as he pulls me in for a morning kiss.

"C! This is amazing!" I say, thrilled.

He twirls me around and says, "A beautiful birthday breakfast for my beautiful birthday girl!"

There's flags that spell out Happy Birthday!, confetti, a table set with more decorations, a stack of pancakes drowned in syrup, freshly baked buns, warm croissants, fresh fruit, steaming mugs of hot cocoa, omelets, bacon... I feel like I need six more pairs of eyes to take everything in as I sit down at the table. The breakfast's a happy blur of chatting, laughing, flirting and eating. When I finally get out of my state of morning grogginess, Cody tells me to wait at the table and heads upstairs. Licking the Nutella off my fingers and rubbing the sleepiness out of my eyes, I wonder what Cody's up to. My phone's been beeping like crazy the last half hour. I grab it and see what all the commotion's about: It's thousands of happy birthday messages from the girls. I smile. Wait.. I start to notice soft meows coming from the stairs. I look over and Cody enters the room with... I squeal and jump out of my chair. He hands me the kitten. The softest and cuddliest thing I've ever held. A white one, with blue eyes, grey paws and grey markings: A ragdoll. My favourite. I'm too busy crying happy tears when Cody grins and asks me,

"You like it?"

"Like it?" I squeak, "I love it!'

"She was the smallest of the nest. What should we name her?"

"Miele! That's 'honey' in Italian!" I say, lifting her up in the air.

"You really have to make everything Italian?" Cody grins, shaking his head.

"But the breed.. how'd you know?"

"Well, after some extensive research in which I racked my wonderfully brilliant science brain to its full extent, I-"

"You asked Manon." I cut him off.

"I asked Manon." He grins.

"Babe! This is the best thing I've ever gotten!" I say, sitting down and letting Miele cuddle up in my lap, purring.

"Why, continue stroking my abnormally large ego," Cody tells me, smiling. "Speaking of Manon, she texted me earlier this morning, asking for us to come over for some post-birthday-breakfast celebrations."

"Ooh! What sort of celebrations?" I ask, Miele tickling my neck.

"She wouldn't specify. She said it was only her, though."

"Could we take Miele?" I ask.

"Not sure. With Lilo and all..."

"We'll see. Manon'd love to meet her."

After getting properly dressed in my well-chosen birthday attire, we're off to Manon's. Seeing as Miele's about the size of a loaf of bread, we carry her there.

[Manon's POV]

I hear a ding dong! at the door and panic.

"OK, all ready?" I whisper to the girls.
