Chapter 17

Kay's P.O.V

Today I just wanted to put all my troubles aside. I'm going to forget about all the illegal shit that I do , and just have a relaxing, loving day for once. What better way to have a loving day than with my wonderful kids? These days, they're the reason why I live. I live, eat and breathe for them.

I hadn't really been spending time with them lately, and I felt bad for it. I've either been out "working" or with the girls. Once again they had been staying with King's mom, Carrie. But at least I knew they all were in good hands. But I miss them and today I just want to be surrounded by their love and joy.

I got up early, got dressed and left with out waking the other girls. I decided to surprise them. I didn't want to walk in empty headed though, so I went to the mall to pick them up a few things too. I love going shopping for my kids. Their smiles were priceless once they see what mommy bought them. Those smiles brighten my day every time.

I went to the mall and knew exactly what to pick up for the boys. They loved toy cars. This is all they ever played with. They had many different kinds, in many different colors and they cherished each and every one of them.

I didn't know too much about cars, so I just picked up the ones I knew best. Next I had to figure out what to get my baby girl Karma. I walked around then decided upon building her a bear at the Build-a-bear workshop. I made her a cute little cheerleader teddy bear. The front of her uniform read "Karma". She was cute and the perfect size for my baby girl. I knew she was going to love it.

Finally I had to get Ms.Carrie something. She loved jewelry. So I quickly made a stop at the Kay's jewelry store. I found the perfect cute heart 10K diamond necklace. I knew she would love it. Usually I would get something for myself but I decided not to. I got every thing together then left and headed home to my kids.

When I arrived everyone was still asleep, so I let myself in and made my way to the boys room first. They were both knocked out on the bed. I flickered the lights on and off, so I could get their attention.

"Stop it Grandma!" Camaro whined as he wiped his eyes.

"It's me babies!" I said to them. They both shifted their attention towards the door and their faces lit up in delight.

"Mommy.." Kamari sang.

"Hey baby!" I replied. I went over and swept him up into my arms then I sat down on Camaro's bed.

"Did you guys miss me?" They nodded their heads quickly. I knew they were soon going to fall back asleep.

"Wake up. It's almost 10." they snuggled up next to me as they began to start back sleeping. I reached over and picked up the bag from the floor.

"I guess iI'll just take these cars back to the store then."

This got Camaro's attention. He sat up in bed and looked at the car I had in my hand. His eyes widened then he took it from my hands and admired the plastic toy.

"New Corvets! Now we have them in red and blue!"

I didn't know the name of the car, but they did and they already had one. Hearing that caught Kamari's attention and he woke up as well. He jumped out of my hands and grabbed his. Then They ripped them out of the boxes and began racing them on the floor all through the house.

I knew they would soon wake everybody else In the house, so I wanted too beat them too it. I got up and went into Karma's room. I picked her up in my arms and rocked her back and forth. I didn't want to wake here because I knew she would cry. I just held and stared at her. Unlike Kamari, Karma resemble me more than she resembled her dad.
