Chapter 23

King and Kay left the courthouse and headed home. But King just couldn't go home empty handed. He demanded that Kay took him by the mall first so he could get gifts for the kids and his mom. Kay really didnt want too, But she decided too take this too her advantage. Since he could surprise her by coming home, she decided to do something to surprise him as well. While he was in the mall picking up things, she was on her phone making plans.

Soon King had picked up gitfts for everybody. He always went all out. He didn't pick up one gift for each person he picked up atleast two or three.

Kay noticed that he didn't pick her up anything. She stuck her lip out and pouted. "You just gone forget about me huh?"

He laughed at her. She always acted like a big baby around him. "I got something for you later. " he said as he winked. "But we still got one more stop to make beby."

Once they left the mall King drove them too the bank. Kay figured he was just gonna give her a couple stacks of money, for her to go to the mall too blow. This was something she never tuned down from him. But instead of going too get a withdrawal, they sat down at a desk to talk to somebody.

Kay really wasn't paying attention, she was texting on her phone. She didn't start listening until she heard them say her name.

"Kayla Smith?" The man behind the desk asked.

King nodded his head. "Yeah I want her name added to ever one of my accounts. I want her to have joint access too all of them."

Kay was speechless. She knew king had various accounts. He had accounts with illegal drug money, he had his regular account, and accounts for his businesses. King would never go broke, and now just like he promised he was making sure she would never go broke as well.

The man behind the dead asked him if he was sure, and reminded him of how many accounts he had. King confirmed that he was sure, and just like that she had access too all of his money.

King finalized the deal and they walked out of the bank. Once outside Kay wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Baby, I can't believe you did that."

King kissed her and then replied. "I hated having to make you get a job. I told you i would take care of you and you would never have to work again. Unless you just doing it for fun. I got you ma."

" I really don't know why too say.. "

King laughed. "You'll thank me later." He said as he led her to the car.

Finally they were headed home. They arrived home and got out of the car. King walked into his house, feeling like a new man once again. There was nothing better than coming home to a loving family. A home full of people who love and care for you. Full of people who have been waiting for your arrival.

He walked into his home with Kay on his arm. She hadnt stopped smiling since they left the courthouse. It was more than apparent that she was happy for him too be home.

He walked into the living room area and flicked on the lights.

"Surprise!"

"Woah, what the hell man." King said as he stepped back.

Everyone in the room laughed. Kay, Maria, Isabella, Marcus, Blue, Carrie, MJ, Kamari, Camaro, and Karma all stood in the living room.

It was a small party. But the smaller your circle the better. Kay decided not too invite Bri. Of course, it would cause drama and today was not a day for drama.

The kids ran too King. Even MJ ran over. King swiftly picked Maro and Mari up into his arms kissing and hugging them. He then placed them back down and embraced MJ as well. They knew he didn't come home empty handed. So Camaro stuck his hands into Kings pocket.
