Poison

                               Prologue.

Jayvion ran. For the first time since he was a little kid he ran. But this time he was running for his life. This wasn't something he was use. He hated the fact that he couldn't decide his fate. Right now, his fate would be determined by how fast his legs could take him in the amount of time allowed.

He absolutely hated this feeling. It wasn't in his bloodline to run. From nobody especially not no wack as Feds. If the Feds new any better they would be the ones trying too run from him. But somehow in the past couple of months he slipped up. Somebody in his circle was the cross, but he had no idea who it was. He didn't have time to think about it right now all he had time to do was run.

Imanii new that today was the today. Today is the day when everything is gonna blow up and hit the fan. Today is the day that all secrets would be revealed and she was not ready for it. Today is the day that will change her entire life.

She knew today was going to be the hardest day of her life. She didnt know how she allowed herself to get to this point but she just couldn't stop herself. She never had a problem keeping her business and personal life separate. That was until she met him. Once they first met she knew he would be the one too change her life. But it was her decision to decide whether he was gonna change her life for the better or for the worst. The bad part about it was that she had no clue as too how to make this decision.

She heard him running and heard the footsteps of her co-workers running behind him. She knew that this was his only way out and she was blocking it. He knew that he would find a way to ditch the cops because he was a skilled and smart man. This meant that she would be left to get the job done. It would be just the two of them.

She listened closely as he ran in one direction, then did a 360 and ran in the other direction confusing the cops that were following them making them lose his trail. This made them run in the opposote direction of which he was running. She listened as he took a sigh of relief and knew that he was coming.

Imanii looked down at her badge scrapped to her waist. The badge she loved and honored so dearly. The badge she took a pledge to honor. Then she looked at the 5 carat ring on her finger. It was something she also loved and cherished. It was the ring that he gave her. She accepted it making vows to it and him as well. She was torn between the two. There was no way that she could chose both. Either one would change her life in a drastic way.

She then heard the shuffling behind the door and took her attention away from the ring and directed it towards the door. She had her gun aimed,cocked and ready. He burst through the double doors.

He thought he had made a clean get away. He quickly pulled his gun from his waist band and pointed it at the person in front of him. He wasnt one to hesitate to pull a trigger on nobody. He quietly cocked his gun back and wrapped his finger around the trigger.

"Drop your weapon." Jayvion heard the woman say.

Hearing that voice made him freeze. He stopped himself just in time before pulling the trigger. He knew that voice from any where. He shut his eyes tightly trying to convince himself that he was just overreacting.

He opened his eyes and instantly knew that it was her. It was the woman the melted his heart. The woman he had devoted his life too for the past couple of months. The woman that promised him she would be by his side no matter what. But instead, Here she was standing in front of him holding a gun instead of being by his side.

Imanii was now face to face with the man that put the gorgeous ring on her finger. She knew what she had to do but she just couldn't bring herself to do it. She watched as he opened his eyes and realized it was her. She watched as his anger went from a look of shock to a look of hurt. She knew she had hurt him. She knew she hurt him to the point of no return. What was the pint of sparing his life if he wasn't gonna spend it with her? She took a deep breath and realized what she had to do. She had to follow the oath that she gave to her job.

Jayvion was beyond shocked. He didnt know how and he didn't know why. But he was seething with anger. Before him stood the woman he was madly in love with. She wasn't who she said she was. She was a cop. A pig ass fed. Which was something she failed to mention.

He felt as his heart burned inside his chest. He knew that his fate would be determined in this room. Either he shot her and got away Or she shot him and he would be taken to jail or dead. If he shot her he would have too live with the fact that he killed the woman he loved. He knew that he would never be able to forgive her for this. He'd never been so hurt in his life. Might as well pull the trigger and end her life for all the hurt she'd caused him.

She shook her head as the tears rolled down her face. She looked at him and mouthed the words "Im sorry" too him.

He looked at her and admired her beauty one last time. He shook his head and uttered the words "I can't believe you."

They both stood there waited on the other to make a move. Both of them were stuck. But somebody had to make a decision because time was running out. Imanii closed her eyes and Jayvion took a deep breath, they both realized this was the end.

"Boom!" Was the only sound that was heard seconds later. As someone pulled the trigger.
