Secrets Revealed

Chapter 13

Bri, Maria and Kay sat in the living room talking about the hit and waiting on Isabella to arrive. No one knew why she was late or where she was. Bri had an idea though. Bri saw the little interaction between she and Marcus at the courthouse, and that sparked her interest.

She didn't want to jump too conclusions too quick, but she just couldn't help it. She wondered how they even knew each other. She also wondered if Kay knew what was going on since she was so close to these girls. If Kay knew, then that meant Kay was playing her and Bri wasn't about to let nobody let her look like a fool.

She decided to begin coming up with a plan in her head just in case they were just using her. But for right now, she would keep her cool and continue too make her money with these women until further notice. It was going on 1 a.m and no one had heard from her since she left the courthouse earlier. Maria and Kay began to wonder if she was safe or not. They had no idea where she could be.

Isabella awoke to the feeling of the bed moving. It was Marcus getting out of the bed to get him a drink. She rolled over to check her phone when she noticed she had missed calls and unread text messages. She read the first one that was sent from Kay which read.

"VV Meeting tonight at 10."

She then looked at the clock and noticed that it was going on 1 o'clock in the morning. This meant that she had been with Marcus since 1 in the afternoon. She knew none of them knew where she was because she kept this little thing with Marcus a secret.

She quickly hopped out of the bed and began putting her clothes back on. Marcus noticed she was getting dressed and got confused.

"Why you leaving so early ma?" He asked as he sipped on his drink.

"I have to get home."

"Why? you got a man waiting on you or some?"

Isabella smacked her lips before she replied. "No. I'm single, I have to get home to a meeting that I missed fooling with you."

"Girl don't act like you ain't enjoy that shit."

Isabella finished getting dressed then walked over and stood face too face with him.

"You right. I did. You definitely know how to show better than you can tell." She said to him.

He then placed his finger under her chin and brought her face closer to his as they began too kiss again. He began to roam her body with his hands but she stopped him before things escalated.

"I gotta go for real Marcus, but I guess you can have my number this time."

Marcus laughed. "see, i told you you was gonna be the one trying to stalk me. "

Isabella laughed and rolled her eyes She then handed him her phone and he saved his number. She then grabbed her things pecked his lips and left. She then rushed all the way back to her house while thinking of what she was going too tell the girls.

As she was thinking she realize that she was a grown ass woman and she didn't have too explain anything to anybody. She would just tell them that she got caught up doing other things. She knew they would understand and if they didn't oh well.

Once she arrived at the house and walked inside Kay and Maria spring to their feet. She notice the look of concern on their faces, which made her feel guilty. She knew these were her girls and she didn't mean to worry them. She noticed that Bri didn't get up she stayed seated and looked as if she didn't have a care in the world.

"Iknow I know. I'm sorry. I just got caught up with.. work." Isabella explained to them.

Maria giggled and gave her a sly look. Maria and Isabella knew each other more than anybody. They were both brought to Chico's house around the same time, so they spent many years together and over time they became the only family that each other had.
