Chapter 21

Kay's P.O.V

Today, once again, it's the day of King's trial. I've had to walk around feeling uneasy just knowing that this day is approaching. I hate that my man's fate is in someone else's hands. So, just imagine how King feels.

His future is about to be determined by someone else. The way his future turns out will affect our entire family. If I come home today without King by my side, the kids are going to be devastated because the last time they talked to him he told them he would be coming home soon.

But on the bright side, at least I would be prepared financially for whatever happens. I've made enough money from doing hits that if King was sentenced for a long time in prison, me and the kids would be able to live a very comfortable life. Knowing this made me feel good and try not to regret the things I did. I did them for me and my family.

So much had been going on in my life lately that my entire body was tired. Being at the hospital with Isabella was very tiresome, but there's nothing I wouldn't do for my girls. No one has heard from Bri since then, but this isn't the first time she has disappeared and it probably wont be the last. But, I know its a fact that the next time I see her I'm going to confront her about what the other girls said she did.

When they first told me, it was hard to believe that she would do something like that. But then I realized that Isabella and Marcus now have a little "thing" going on. I didnt even know about this. I dont think Maria did either. But now I knew that Bri did try to get Isabella killed because Bri can be very crazy when it comes down to Marcus. However, I'm still going to give her the benefit of the doubt by asking for her side of the story first.

In the meantime, I got myself together and ready then I left to go to King's trial. I always got here early. It gave me time to myself just to prepare for the worst. I prayed it didn't happen, but I was still always prepared for it if it did.

Moments later Bri walked in and began to get ready as well. Then the prosecuting attorney entered and other people slowly began to enter the courtroom. Just as the case was beginning to start, Marcus and Blue entered the room and sat beside me. Then King came in from the back in his nice suit. I watched as he walked all the way to his seat, admiring him.

He looked towards the direction Me, Blue and Marcus were sitting in and I lifted my hand to get his attention. He looked at me and winked. He looked confident today, I know King so I know that this meant he was up too something. I had no idea what it was, but I know for a fact he had something brewing. Then we rose for the judge to enter the room, then finally the case began.

The prosecuting attorney began first. He looked as if he was getting fed up with this case, because it kept dragging on. "Your honor, this man has been to jail before for manslaughter he was arrested and accused for the kind napping of Camaro Miles-"

"Falsely accused!" Bri interjected.

"And now," the prosecuting attorney continued. "We have live pictures and a live witness saying that he is related in drug and gang related activity and violence." He then turned too the jury. "If this isn't enough to put this man behind bars then I dont know what is.

"Is the witness ready too speak today?" The judge asked.

The prosecuting attorney said he was and then the witness was called too the stand. He went through the procedure where he had to put his hand on the bible and all of that and then he was able to sit. He stated that his name was Mike. I looked at him and tried to remember who he was but I couldn't. He looked as if he worked for King. I then looked at the faces of King,Marcus and Blue. Marcus and Blue held a very serious glare as they stared directly at Mike. King, on the other hand, held a look of anger. He clutched his jaws together and brushed his thumb up against the right side of his nose. I could tell how his entire mood changed.
