Jungkook Harms a Door

Hobi treated everyone at the barbeque place. Rest in pieces, Jung Hoseok's bank account.

Jungkook asked Y/N about his prank, but Y/N didn't seem too interested. I suppose that makes sense, considering all the delicious food around them.

Why would Y/N care about his dumb prank when there are obviously more important things to worry about, like that nice bowl of jajangmyeong?

Jungkook felt a bit angry too, it's not easy digging up mud to find worms. He wondered why Y/N seemed so cold all of a sudden.

It's been three days since Hobi got that job. Kookie and Y/N have barely talked to each other in that time, and their little fight has had a huge effect on the household.

"Y/N, can you get JK to come down for dinner?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Pretty please?"

"No."

"Pretty please with a cherry on top?"

"I said no."

"Please, at least try to talk to him again! It's been three days!"

"I'll call him, hyung.", Chimchim, the lord and saviour of the household offers.

"Thank you Chimmy!", Jin sighs in exasperation.

"No problem, hyungie!" Jimin then skips over to Jungkook's room.

"I won't force you to talk to him, but it's hard to see you both so- so depressed! You didn't even smile at my dad joke today!"

"That's because your jokes are awful."

Jin scoffs, "They aren't! But Jungkook hasn't laughed at Jimin in days... That's saying a lot. I'm not asking you as the eldest, but I'm asking you as your friend... Please make up with JK."

"I'll try...", Y/N says softly.

The truth is that JKs prank was not the thing that made Y/N so upset. For Y/N, it was something a little bit more deep rooted.

Y/N had always seen themself as the 'lesser twin'. Jungkook was good at everything, and it was hard not to be jealous. They were in the same clubs, and it was hard to see Jungkook excel almost immediately at nearly everything. It was hard to see him be so much more popular and well liked than themself.

Y/Ns only respite was that Jungkook refused to do anything without them. He refused the student council. He refused the chess club. And he refused to prank others without Y/N. This made Y/N feel a little more valuable. JK can't do anything without them, so it's ok if Y/N was the lesser twin. Now, Y/N didn't even have that. It made Y/N feel worse about themself.

"What's for dinner hyung?", Namjoon asks before- very sadly- bumping into the wall.

"Be careful! We're having kimchi fried rice.", Jin says before checking Namjoon for damage.

"Kimchi fried rice? That's my favourite!", Hobi enters the room looking a bit tired.

Yoongi, Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook enter the dining room soon after.

The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.

"So... How was school Taehyung?", Hobi asks brightly.

"It was really great! But we got an assignment today.", Taehyung replies.

"Oh yeah, it's with partners! I wanted to be paired up with Tae, but I got someone else instead.", Jimin adds on sadly.

The mood in the room wasn't too good.
