Jin knew what he had to do.

He had to convince Taehyung to take the role. Taetae deserved only the best and he wasn't going to let his own selfishness get in the way!

But how was he going to convince Taehyung?

He tried the logical method first.
"V-V, I've already been scouted! And my grades won't go down because I'll become one of the backstage crew! Will you please reconsider taking the role?"

"No.", Tae says.

Ok, Plan A has failed. Next, Plan B.
"If you take on the role, I'll treat you to anything you want!"

Yes, Plan B, 'B' stands for bribery.

"No hyung! I'm not that cheap!"

Darn. Now time for Plan C.
"Pretty please with a cherry on top? Will you take the role?"

Taehyung pretends to think.
"Nope."

Jin tried the remaining 23 plans, but all of them failed. He tried getting Jungkook to convince him, he made Y/N paint a banner to convince him, he tried making Tae feel guilty, he tried writing a poem to convince him, but nothing worked.

Jin had one last plan. He called his professor and told him to come to his house and convince Taehyung.

The professor responded, "I'm sorry Seokjin dear! I begged the drama department to allow your brother to join us, but guess what they said?"

"Uhh, what?"

"They said that he can't join because this is an event exclusive to our university and we 'can't allow highschool brats to barge in'!"

"Wait, what? Couldn't you tell them to at least consider an exception!?"

"What do you think I did? I used all my charms and conviction, but they wouldn't budge. They even said that he can't be Myung-Dae because he's a minor and Nayeon who plays Eun-Ae is an adult, so they're unwilling to portray a romance between them!" The professor mutters, "Looks like age did matter..."

Jin groans. He thanked the professor and hung up the phone. What was he going to do now? All 27 of his plans failed, would he give up now? Nope. 'Give up' is not part of Jin's dictionary! Jin was going to make sure at least something good comes out of this!

Jin goes to Namjoon's studio at the Bighit building. Joon was the smartest person he knew and maybe his perspective would shed new light on the problem.

Jin uses his passcard, goes through security and uses the lift to go to Namjoon's studio. He gently knocks on the door. He hears a voice from inside, "Come in."

He enters the room looking at all the random knickknacks and pillows around the place.

"Can you get me a coffee- oh hyung? What are you doing here?"

"Um, did I disturb you? I should have called first..." Jin mumbles.

"You kind of did disturb, but it's okay, whatever you have to say must be important.", Namjoon looks expectantly at Jin.

Jin sighs before explaining the full situation to Joon. He listens carefully nodding all the while.

"What should I do now? Taetae wanted to perform too and I tried everything to get him to join, but he's too stubborn!"

Namjoon thinks for a few seconds before saying, "Hyung, I think you were being stubborn, not him. I mean, who makes 27 plans to convince someone?", He jokes.
"I think you should stop trying to change Taetae's decision. It's not even possible for him to perform even if he did agree."

"I know, but there must be something I can do! Taehyung has wanted to act since he was a kid!"

"Taehyung has also wanted to be an astronaut, a dinosaur, a hacker, and a saxophonist when he was a kid. Aren't you looking too deeply into this?"

"Ugh! I'm not sure anymore... But I want to make sure he reaches his dream!", Jin says.

Joonie ponders for a bit. "Why not ask your professor to recommend him to the university? If he does that, then Taehyung is pretty much guaranteed a seat at your uni. Then, he can become an actor at his own pace."

"Oh my god, you're a genius! Why didn't I think of that?"

"If you have a dream, it is not necessary to find the quickest path to it. It's okay if you delay your dream, as long as you strive towards it and achieve it.", Joon says wisely.

Jin smiles and thanks him for his advice, and nearly runs out the door before telling Namjoon that he'd get a coffee for him.

When Jin goes back home it's already nighttime. He sees that Yoongi has already started preparing dinner, and quickly apologizes to him.

"No prob, just figure out this Taehyung problem, I'll make dinner.", Yoongi dismisses.

Jin thanks him quickly before calling his professor again, asking him to recommend Taehyung to the university.

"Oh yeah, why didn't I think of that?", He mutters. "I'll do that! They'll definitely agree since I've bugged them so much already!"

Jin excitedly goes to Taehyung's room.

"Just before you try to convince me again, I am not doing your role."

" No, wait! It's not that! I told the professor to recommend you for Konkuk University!"

"Wait, what?"

"Yep! Now you can learn acting when you're older! That is, if you want to..."

"Hyung, really? You'd do that for me?"

"Of course!"

Taehyung grins radiantly. "Thank you so much hyung!"

"I'll push you to your dream V-V! And when push comes to shove, I'll do that too!"

"I'll throw you to your dream hyung!"

"I'll use a canon to shoot you to your dream!"

"I'll use high speed jets to blast you!"

"What?"

"Nothing! Thank you hyung!", Taehyung jumps around excitedly.

After that whole fiasco, the entire family sits down for dinner.

Except for one person. Y/N was making something in their room, but you'll only know what it is in the next chapter...

Oh wait. Don't you want to hear the poem that Jin wrote to get Taetae to join the play? Of course you do!

Jin barged into Taehyung's room in which Taehyung was making a small-scale model of the Eiffel Tower using popsicle sticks and dry macaroni.

"I made a poem for you!"

Tae carefully hot glues the pasta onto the stick before nodding.

"Ahem, ahem.
Tata is red
Yoongi sleeps in the day
I'm really desperate here
Could you please join the play?"

Taehyung looks impressed and he applauds Jin for the poem.

Jin smiles thinking that he managed to convince Taehyung.

"Nah."

"GOD DAMMIT, YOU LITTLE-"
