Jin Finds a Friend

Jungkook and Y/N are partners in crime. If you see one, then the other is sure to appear. All of their pranks have been coordinated together, from that one time Jungkook snuck a chocolate ball into Jin's ramen to the time Y/N hid Taehyung's drawing notebook, the twins have always been co-conspirators.

However, these days the twins have limited their pranks to Seokjin. The others weren't good targets anymore. Yoongi is too scary, so are Jimin and Hobi. Namjoon is way too smart, and Taehyung... well, he's just too nice to prank.

Jin- on the other hand- was perfect. He'd only scold them and rarely got angry. Even when he did get angry, he was too funny to take seriously.

There was that one time when Jungkook snuck temporary pink hair dye into Jin's strawberry scented shampoo. Both were pink, so Jin didn't notice until he looked in the mirror. Jin had shrieked, but when he looked out the door, he shot a wide grin at   Y/N and JK, and said, "I LOVE it!"

Y/N considers that a win in their book, but Kook thought he was dumb for forgetting that Jin looked good even in a potato sack.

Nevermind, all that... Y/N and Jungkook had a whole month to prank the old man of the group. Their parents would be back in a month, since all their CEO work is kind of time consuming. Y/N didn't really know what was going on there in Japan. They think that their parents would be overseeing the debut of some new boy group- TxT, was it?

As of now, that wasn't the concern of these evil maknaes. It had been a few months since their last prank, because Dad saw Y/N placing clear plastic wrap over the toilet seat. Now, they had to make up for all the lost time.

All this while, Y/N was sitting on the couch, just pondering over what to do. Taehyung gave them a hard stare and said,"You're gonna do something to Jin-hyung, right?".

Y/N- caught off guard- smoothly replied with,"Um-err, no- n- not at all Tae! What made you think that?!"

"Mom and Dad aren't home... Maybe you should be a bit easy on Jin-hyung."

Y/N groaned. "Fine, I'll be easy on him."

Taehyung looked unconvinced, but he just headed on down to the kitchen.

At that very moment, Hobi jumped into the room.

"GUESS WHO'S A DANCE TEACHER NOW!"

Chimchim trailed behind him. "He got accepted as a teacher at my dance academy! Isn't that cool?"

That was a huge accomplishment! Jimin's academy was pretty well established and Hoseok was only 20 years old, fresh out of school!

"THAT'S AWESOME HYUNG!", squealed Taehyung who popped his head out of the kitchen. (How does Taehyung squeal in that voice?)

"Wow Hobi that's great! Uhh, hope you don't mind but, when's the treat?", Y/N asked tentatively.

"Treat? We're getting a treat?", Joon exclaimed, before- very sadly- faceplanting onto the carpet.

Yoongi appears behind him, screaming "JHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE! I knew you could do it."

Before anyone else could interrupt, Jimin asked,"Hey, where's Kookie and Jin-hyung?"

Hobi stopped robot dancing, and Namjoon got off the floor.

"Yeah, where are they?", asked Y/N.

A loud, high pitched scream answered all of their questions.

"YOONGI, THERE'S A SNAKE IN MY BOOT!"

"Snake? I- I hate snakeu!"

Snake? Why would there be a snake in Jin's boot? Unless...

Realisation dawned on Y/N. Jungkook played a prank without them. But that shouldn't matter, right? It's the first time Jungkook's ever done that.

But it did matter.

Y/N and Jungkook were joined at the hip. They were in the same class, same clubs, and until recently, even in the same room! For Y/N and Jungkook, it had always been them against the whole world.

And -for maybe just a moment- Y/N felt alone against the world.

"Wait, we're coming hyung!", Namjoon says as soon as he brushes off his pants.

The entire crew (except for Hoseok) slowly move towards Jin and Yoongi's shared room. Jin was standing in the corner, horrified at the little earthworm wriggling in his boot.

Namjoon gently took the worm out and cooed at its supposed 'cuteness'.

"Hyung, that was a worm. Not a snake." ,chastised Yoongi, "How would a snake even get into the house?", he mutters.

"Sorry, I just- I got scared, okay?", Jin answers back.

Suddenly, everyone heard a strange chuckle. Now, even Yoongi was getting a bit scared. The devil himself, John Kook, appears from under the bed.

"Oh my GOD! You should've seen your faces! That was absolutely priceless!"

"YAH! JUNGKOOK! YOU CAN'T DO THAT! YOU HAVE TO RESPECT YOUR HYUNG!"

Y/Ns suspicion was correct. Jungkook pranked Jin without them. It was absolutely stupid to get angry, but Y/N couldn't help it. They were supposed to do this together. They promised. Heck, they even spat into their hands before doing a handshake in order to seal the deal!

After all the confusion died down, Hobi re-announced his new job offer. The entire household was ecstatic. They even video called their parents to tell them the news.

Everyone was happy.

Except for one person.
