Berk Vampire Academy Pt. 1 & 2

Chapter 10

As the Days progressed, hiccup and astrid would train every night at the same time. He was getting better at controlling his anger, he's keeping his cool longer. It was a day before the shopping trip, and all the girls were buzzing with joy, the boys... No so much.

It's not compulsory to go, but hiccups going to get a new sketch pad and for Fishlegs, plus he would love to see the outside world again. He misses the freedom. He's still planning on running away again, just not yet.

He was just at his locker, minding is own business when...

"Hey their handsome, "said a voice. It was a girl. She had long black silky hair, and green eyes like him. She was a little taller then astrid, but not as beautiful.

"Hey... "He awkwardly said "Who are you?"

"I'm Heather, "she introduced.

"Ah...so your Heather "he grinned.

"So you've heard about me. All good things I hope?, "she smiled

"Depends, "he said. Her smile faulted

"Taking anyone to the ball?, "she asked.

"Nope! Not going "he shrugged. He could notice that she was getting annoyed by him, he could hear her heart beat rising.

"Well if you change your mind, "she said handing him a piece of paper "call me."

"K, "he said. She gave him one last smile then walked way. All the others boys were scowling at him, but he ignored them.

"Was that Heather?, "fish asked coming up behind him.

"JESUS... Fish don't sneak up on me like that, "he warned him. "And yes it was her."

"What did she want?, "he asked

"I think she asked be to the ball?", he answered.

"WHAT?, "Fishlegs yelled. Attracting attention to them.

"Will you keep your voice down "hiccup grumbled "And what's the big deal?"

"What's the big deal. It's Heather, the most hottest girl in school. and she personally came up and asked you to the ball", he explained.

"Well to me, she's just some random girl, "he said "Got anyone to go to the ball with yet?"

"Yes actually I do, "he answered

"Really? Who?, "hiccup asked surprised, he actually had the balls to ask someone out.

"Ruffnut, "he smiled.

"Wait. You asked out Ruffnut and she said yes? "he asked.

"Yes,"fish squealed

"Congrats man, "he said patting him on the back.

"You know what this means, right?, "fish asked.

"You might get laid, "he joked.

"What? No, maybe...You have to ask astrid to the ball, "he said.

"WHAT? Are you crazy. She would rip my head off, "he exclaimed.

"Na, ah. That was the deal. If I ask Ruffnut then you ask astrid."

"I don't remember making that deal, "hiccup grumbled.

"Come on, you can do it, "fish encouraged

"Fine, "he sighed" But l'm doing this for you, ok."

"Ok, "he finalized" we better get going to magic, before the old crow gives us detention."

"Yeah, let's. "He chuckled.

Hiccup couldn't concentrate at all in magic, he has a massive migraine and doesn't know why? He keeps hearing whispering in his head and was irritating the shit out of him.

"Dude, are you ok?, "asked fish.

"Yeah, just a headache, 'he lied. Fish didn't look convinced but didn't press any further.

"Mr. Haddock?, "called the teacher.

"Yes, sir?"he answered facing him.

"Can you please answer the question?"he asked.

"I'm sorry sir, I wasn't listening, "he apologized.

"I know, "he smirked "I just wanted to see if you did know the answer anyway."

Hiccup sighed in defeat. He noticed astrid looking at him with concern' I'm fine' he mouthed. She gave him a small smile saying 'Ok'. Snotlout noticed the little interaction between them and grumbled in jealousy.

Hiccup and astrid were training again. Going at it like a bunch of wild badgers.

"Going to the ball with anyone yet?, "he asked stopping an attack from her.

"No. You?, "she asked.

"No. But Heather asked me to go with her, "he said. Astrid immediately stopped her attaching and stared at him.

"What? Did you say yes?, "she asked.

"No. I haven't responded yet, but l'm going to decline her offer," he said taking a drink of water.

"Why? The most popular Girl in school asked you personally to go with her and your going to say no?, "She asked bewildered. She was actually happy that hiccup said no, she doesn't know why though.

You don't actually like hiccup? Do you? she though.

"I don't like her. She's seems like bitch "he said and plus she's not you, he added mentally.

"Well your right, she is. Good call, "she smiled

"I thought so, "he grinned". You going tomorrow?"

"Yeah. Ruff asked if I could help her pick out a dress, "she rolled her eyes "Like she needs it. She's got a whole wardrobe full of them."

"Yeah, same. Going for fish, "he said "But l'm expecting to have guardians keeping an eye on me, just in case I decide to run away again."

"Surprised you haven't already, "she said checking her phone.

"Same. But l'm planning to, just need more time to sort everything out, "he shrugged.

"Oh.... "She sighed sadly.

"What? "Hiccup noticed.

"Nothing. I have to go, ruffs waiting for me, "she said picking up her bag.

"Astrid..."

"See ya, "she dismissed then left.

Hiccup groaned angrily at himself. He punched the wall and left a massive dent in it.
