"Hiccup, WAIT!?!, "yells Astrid running after him.
"Don't lass, "said gobber grabbing her arm before she could get any further. "Give him sometime to cool of before go talking to him."
Astrid hesitated. Looking back to where hiccup just ran off. She turned back to gobber nodding before going to check on snotlout.

About 800 meters in to the Forrest is a cove. Filled with flowers, a pond, a water fall and a grave. This grave belonged to Valka Haddock. Hiccups mom. That's where he was now. Sitting infringement of it. Just staring the grave stone.
Valka Haddock
Beloved wife, Friend and mother.
"Hey mom, I know I haven't visited in a while, been busy, "he chuckled looking down at the flower in his hands which he was twirling between his fingers. But then his face turns sad.
"I'm sorry i let you down. The last words you said to me were, to not be afraid of who l am and who I will become and to be brave and selfless, and I failed... failed you, "he sobbed. A tear leaking down his cheek. "I'm not the man you wanted me to be, I'm not the man I wanted to be. All my life I just wanted to be excepted. To have dad be proud of me but... When I ran away... I completely destroyed any hope of that ever happening. Me running away was just so I could runaway from all my problems, but, now I realize that running away doesn't change anything. It just makes it worse."
He looks at the flower before kissing it and putting it on her grave.
"I love you mom"
Then he was gone.
