Dear journal,
Wuhan is officially on lock down. I am pleased about the news, although, the action is almost definitely too late. It is obvious that we have already reached the peak of the virus and isolating the entire city will only mean people are suffering at home. It has made no impact to the hospital at all, we are seeing an increase in patients every single day. We've transferred many recovering patients to the new hospitals that have been built not far from here but there are still many patients awaiting critical care.
This is my fourth night shift this week. University lectures have stopped and we are completing online lessons, but I have not been able to get much done. Work takes up almost all of my time and the rest is spent attempting to take care of myself, do housework and clean the apartment. There's only one bag of cat food left in the cupboard. Shopping for groceries is such an impossible task lately, especially with my intense shift patterns.
I am still not showing any symptoms for the virus. The doctors are saying that the incubation period is anywhere up to 2 weeks based on the patients that they have been observing.
If anything changes in that time, I will let you know.
I am praying for China,
Li
