You were pacing in your room like a mad man. You trying to piece together what you had witnessed back there. 'You're just tired from a long day at school. You were just hallucinating. It WASN'T real.' You kept this up for a good 10 minutes then were able to convince yourself that it was just your imagination.
Finally calm you sit down on your queen-sized bed with its beautiful purple and black modern style comforter thinking about what to do next. You thought about watching TV but nothing good was supposed to come on tonight. You thought about napping but decided against it because then you'd be up all night and that's something you really didn't need.
You sighed and decided it was best to do your homework, though you made good grades you hated homework. To you it was pure torture and it always took you away from time you could be spending reading a good book. Groaning with great displeasure, you stand and walk over to your small wooden desk. You plop down in the comfortable leather swivel chair. You pull out papers and pencils from the drawers setting them neatly in front of you. Subconsciously you reach down to your right side to start picking things out of your backpack and feel nothing. 'Hmm that's strange I set it down right here when I can in' you thought to yourself. Thinking you put it in its usual spot by your closet you look to see that it isn't there either.
You start retracing your steps from the time you left to the time you got to the all- THAT'S IT!!! You shreak in your head. You remember you set it down when you climbed up the fire escape and saw erm you mean thought you saw that thing.
Contemplating what you should do, you huff and know you have to go back there and get it before it ends up stolen. Standing up and heading towards your bedroom door you grab a jacket out of your closet and throw it on. Just as you're about to walk out the door you stop. You jog back to your desk and yank open the top drawer searching for what you need. When you find it you slide it into your pocket and leave. You head to the front door in the living when your stopped by your sister blocking the door. "Where are you going?" she snapped. Sighing you told her that you had to back yo the alley to get your bag. She smirked not believing you. "You know if your sneaking out to see a guy you could try to lie better."
You rolled your eyes and shoved past her. You loved her with all your heart but you too were complete opposites. She was the fun party girl everyone loved and you were the quirky awkward one who no one notice. And you were fine with that you really didn't like being around people any way. You always felt like they were judging you no matter what. You yank the door open and walk out into the apartment hall. Halfway down the hall, your sister pokes her head out of the door and calls, " Text me when you get back! I won't be here by the time you return." You whipped your head around so fast you could've sworn you were going to get whiplash. You asked her where she was going. She smiled and said she was going out with her friends. Ugh her friends you hated them they were so obnoxious and stupid. Not to mention a bunch of slutty bitches who always felt the need to pick on you. You walked outside and shivered pulling your jacket tighter around you. You weren't cold just nervous. I mean you are out here alone. In New York. At night.
Then just so happily your brains reminds you of the earlier event not even helping tour state of nervousness. Gulping you make your way back to the alley...
