*Later that day*
Tony skipped his last period class and speed straight home as soon as he could. He got out the car, slamming the door in the process, and walked up to his mother who was casually sitting in the couch watching the television. She sits down and crosses his arms, "What's got your trousers in a bunch?" She says not lifting her eyes from screen.
Tony huffs out, "James Buchanan Barnes." She turned her head a bit so she can get a better view of him and said, "You talked to him?" Tony sat up. "Yeah." He said with a sigh. "And??" "He wanted to walk the quad but I told him I wanted him to like me for me and not just pity me. So I walked back to the bleachers and Rhodey told me that not only does he like me now but he has since we were kids!" He grabs a pillow and holds it close to himself tightly.
She turns off the tv and pulls Tony into a hug. "I told you so." She says. "Mom now is not a good time." He says as he shoved the pillow in his face. "Well no no you told me that the day you find out the truth I could tell you 'I told you so'. You can't take it back now but why do I have a feeling you are leaving something out?"
Tony went wide eyed and slowly got up ,"Hey I have homework to get to. Call me down when Dad gets home please. Thank you I love you!" He said quickly as he ran up to his room. Maria sat back on the couch and turned her show back on , "oh that boy is complicated."
*Buchanan House*
Bucky threw his backpack into the corner of his room and flopped onto his pillow. He groaned loudly and stayed like that. As if he summoned a genie Mila walked in his room and jumped right on top of him. He sighed loudly as tried to get his sisters attention. "What wrong squirt?" She asks as she gets off of him and sits on a chair near Bucky bed.
Bucky sat up and said, "I followed your advice about Tony..." Mikas eyes opened wide and she sits up in the chair, "and???" He stood up and walked to his window where he could see Tony's house. "Well he slapped me, then kissed me, then slapped me again, then kissed me, then left." She nods and does the motion of the matchmaker from Mulan. "But did you tell him how you feel?" Bucky cringed a bit and said, "Kinda?" She crosses her arms and leans in her chair, "who did it for you?" He puts his hand over his heart and says, "I would never have another man/woman do my dirty work for me."
She raises an eyebrow and give him a look of 'cut the crap' He slouches and says, "I really didn't get anyone to tell him. But one of his friends did. I didn't have anything to do with it. I swear!" He puts his hands up. Mika stands up and says, "Okay I believe you, but you should go talk to him." Bucky looks out his window, "your right." He walks out of the room and right behind him Mika follows. She made sure he walked all the way towards his house before going back inside. Bucky rings the door bell and waits for someone to open the door.
When the door opens he sees Tony's mom. "Hi Mrs. Stark, is Tony home?" Maria smiles and says, " yes he is in the basement with Howard. Come in and I'll get him." She opens the door wider to let him in. Bucky nods politely and waits as Maria steps out the back door. She opens the door that leads to the basement and says, "Tony! You have a visitor!" And walks back inside before Tony could give her an answer. "Who do you have over?" Howard asks. "I don't know? The guys aren't supposed to come until tomorrow." Tony says as he walks up and out.
Tony enters his house and washes his hands before he goes to see who is here. (It's Corona Time! Jk don't come at me for that) He walks into his living room and sees his mom talking with Bucky. "James?" Bucky looks up at Tony. "Hey." Is all he says. "W-What are you doing here?" Tony stutters. Bucky stands and walks towards him. "We need to talk." Tony fells as though he has a knot in his throat. He nods and starts walking to room. James follows him and closes the door behind himself.
"Look about earlier-" Bucky was cut off by Tony smashing their lips together. Bucky wrapped his arms around him and pulled him closer. They pulled apart and Tony says, "You have no idea how long I have wanted to do that." Bucky looks into his eyes and says, "me too." They smile and stay in each other's arms for a while longer until Tony pulls away and says, "You are still going to have to take out to dinner." Bucky gasps a bit, "You think so low of me?"
Tony chuckles, "No. I know you'll be as charming as always." Bucky smiles and kisses Tony's cheek. "Dinner Saturday. I'll pick you up at 7pm." Tony smirks, "You mean walk across the street?" Bucky raises an eyebrow, " would you have rather me stayed in Brooklyn and never have met you?" Tony's eyes open wide and she hugs Bucky tight, "Nope you will never leave now!" Bucky hugs him back and laughs. The two then hear Maria's voice yell, "Tony dinner is ready!" Tony and Bucky walk out the room smiling like huge idiots.
Bucky starts to walk out the door when Maria says, "James, would you like to stay for dinner?" Bucky smiles and says, "No thank you ma'am. My sister is home from college and I want to spend as much time with her as I can before she leaves again." Maria nods, "Alright then. Oh wait!" She runs into a closet and grabs a box and a jacket from inside. "The box and jacket are for your mother." Bucky nods, "okay. Have a good night! He says as he ventures off back to his house. Bucky enters his house and is immediately bombarded with questions.
"How did it go? Are you guys together? Did he slap you again? Are you guys going on a date? When? Where? At what time? Who is all going? Can I go too?" Mika says all at once. "It went fine. We aren't together yet. No he didn't slap me. Yes we are going on a date and no to all the rest." Bucky says as he places the box on the table. Mika squeals and shakes Bucky furiously. "Ahh you guys are so cute together!!" "We aren't together yet!" Bucky says. "Mom Mrs Stark said this is for you." He says to her.
Winnie gets the package and says, "thank you." Then kisses his cheek. Mika keeps asking Bucky questions but he just ignores him and goes to his room. He shuts the door and does his little happy dance. 'I'm going to take him on a date with Tony!' He thought. He sat on his bed and began to brain storm ideas for their date.
