Years have gone by and the two boys are much older. Tony and Bucky are both 16 years old which makes them Sophomores in high school. (Year 10 or 11 in the UK). Also if you're wondering where we get the chapter names,they are all lyrics. The title of the story is the name of the song. (Except for Tear this place apart) Now on with the story.
"Tony you are gunna be late to school!" Tony is running around his room making sure he doesn't forget anything. He stuffs all his equipment into his duffle bag then runs down stairs. "Sorry mom I overslept." he said quickly eating his plate of waffles.
"Well maybe if you weren't up all night working on that project you with your father you would have got a good amount of rest. " "I know mama and I'm sorry I'll sleep early tonight." He checks his watch. "Oh I gotta go. Bye mom I love you. " He says as he leaves.
He runs to his car, quickly getting in and buckling up. He turns the car on then he drives to school. He parks his car in his usual spot and looks for his locker. Once he finds it he put his books and note books in it and heads to his first class.
He takes a seat in the back of the class while he waits for the lesson to begin. Students walk in and sit in the there seats. "Good morning class today we will be reviewing the quantum realm theory." The teacher started the class. The day went on like usual. Class after class after class and finally it was lunch.
Everyday Tony spent lunch with his friends and Steve's friends. Steve's friends consisted of Natasha, Clint, and occasionally James. James is Steve's best friend. Tony has had a crush on Bucky since they were younger but never told him, but instead he caught feelings for Steve as well. Well you know where that leads. Anyways today was one of the days Bucky decided to join them.
The group always sat outside the cafeteria by a brick wall. It wasn't a tall wall so some people sat on it and others didn't. "Hey Tony, are you gonna eat that?" Clint asks as he grabs the mashed potatoes bowl from his tray. "Well I was until you took it." Clint smiles at him childishly and eats. Steve shook his head just watched as Clint ate Tony's lunch.
Bucky got off the wall and grabbed his tray he placed it in front of Tony and walked away without a word. Everyone just watched him walk away silently. Steve looked annoyed. Tony got up and followed Bucky. So Steve got up and followed Tony but Natasha made him sit back down. Tony continued his adventure to find Bucky.
He watched him enter a hallway that usually was filled with band/theater kids. He watched as Bucky went into a room and disappeared from view. He quickly got to the door he seen him go through and peaked his head in. He didn't see anyone so he went in and slowly shut the door. He then heard someone playing the piano but it sounded a bit distant. He started to slowly walk closer to sound.
He found another door and slowly opens it he seen Buckys back turned away from the door. Tony just watched him play in amazement. Without noticing he let go of the door that was holding him up straight and fell making a loud thud. Bucky turned around quickly obviously scared of the noise and went to help him up. "I'm sorry l-" "Tony it's okay. What are you doing here?" They stood up and looked at each other in the eyes for a split second before Tony broke eye contact.
"I-I don't know, but I should probably go and just leave you to it." He says the last part as he points at the piano. He start to turn around but he feels someone grab his arm. "You can stay." He says. Tony freezes at the feeling of Buckys touch. He could practically melt at that very moment. He then stammers "N-no I-it's f-fine. I got to f-find *cough* Steve." Bucky lets go and Tony almost runs out of the room. He starts to run out the hall when he runs into Steve. "I'm sorry!!"
He says "It's okay Honey. Where were you?" Steve asks the last part a bit aggressively. " I was trying to find Bucky to thank him for the lunch." "That you didn't even eat?" Tony looks at the floor and grabs his wrist where Bucky had held him. "Well yeah..." Steve lifted Tony's face up and told him "I don't want you talking to Bucky. I know about your stupid little crush on him. Your mine. So get over it. Do you understand?" Steve says sternly. Tony nods his head and looks back down as tears start to form in his eyes. "Good." Steve then starts to walk away and Tony follows him still holding on to his wrist.
