"He asked me out!!" Tony said over the phone. "WHAT!" Pepper yells from the other side, "Tell me everything! Don't leave any detail out." Tony chuckles, "well he came over to talk about lunch.... and I kissed him and now we are going on a date." Pepper squeals again and Tony starts cracking up. "When and where is this date happening?"
She asks. "Saturday! I don't know where I just know he is picking me up at 7." "Aww baby boy is finally going on his dream date with the man of his dreams!" She says. He could picture her trying to pinch his cheeks so he just rolls his eyes. "Don't call me baby boy. You don't have that right." He says trying to sound tough.
Pepper is now laughing hysterically. "You are adorable Stark! You know damn well I am the one who gave you that nickname!" Tony scoffs, "Yeah yeah whatever." "Okay Mr. Playboy, what are you wearing on Saturday?" She asks knowing he was going to start freaking out.
"OH MY GOD!! WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR????!!! DAMN IT PEPPER!!!TOMORROW YOU ARE HELPING ME CHOOSE AN OUTFIT AFTER SCHOOL!" Pepper is dying of laughter at this point but brings herself down 10 notches, "okay I will." "Ha, you thought you had a choice! Anyways I'll see you at school tomorrow. Do you want me to pick you up?"
He asks as he lays in bed. "Yes please, Rhodey is a terrible driver and Happy.... Well you know he's....always late and being early is on time and on time is late and if you're late you might as well not show up." Tony confusingly said "what?" Pepper sighs, "I walked in the choir class by accident on the first day and the teach told me that and it kinda makes sense." "No it doesn't but whatever, see you tomorrow. Night." He says. "Night Tone." They hang up and Tony gets comfortable and falls into a deep sleep.
The next day Tony woke up and hopped into the shower. He brushed his teeth and washed his face. He put on one of him signature collar shirt under a soft crewneck and well fitted denim jeans on. He cuffed his pants and put on his slip on vans. He grabbed his backpack and went downstairs to eat breakfast. "Morning mom. Morning dad." He says. "Morning" they both say. Maria places a plate of food in front of him and kissed his cheek.
"Eat up hun." Tony smiles and eats. "Hey dad, um I'm going to have to cancel our session on Saturday night." His dad looks at him confused. "But, why? You never cancel unless you have an absolute reason to?" Tony smiles at how much his Dad cared. "I have a date." His mom jumps up and pulls out a confetti popper.
She starts to run around and shout, "YES!!!!! TEAM JAMES!!!!" Tony sighs and shakes his head. Howard just laughs and clapped. Tony gets up and starts walking towards the door. "Okay I'm leaving bye!" He says and walks out the door. As he walks to his car he looks across the street and sees James and Mika. She was hugging him and kissing his face.
James kept pushing her away from him but she wouldn't stop. After a couple seconds she stopped and just hugged him. She glanced across the street for a bit and shouted, "Hey Anthony!!" And waved. Tony waves back smiling.
She waves him to come over and he does. "Hi." He says when he gets there she hugs him tightly. Bucky smiles and just shrugs as Tony looks at him amused. "Anthony it is so good to see you! How long has it been?" She says as she lefts him go. "2 years I think." He says.
"Wow, it doesn't fee like that anyways I've got to go. Squirt I'll pick you up after school and Anthony I'll see you in another 2 years?" She laughs. Tony and Bucky shake their heads amused. "Bye Mika." They say. She gets in her car then leave. Bucky and Tony are standing by his bike. "Sorry about her. She can a little too much sometimes." He says as he scratches the back of his neck. Tony wraps his arms around him and looks up at him.
"Don't apologize for her. She is amazing just like you. If I wasn't gay, I would have date her." Bucky give Tony the most confused look he's ever seen. "I don't know whether I should be offended or not." Tony smiles, "I'm kidding I'd choose you every time. Even if it was just our friendship that I would lose." Bucky smiles, "Thanks. Now, go to school." He says.
Tony says, "Okay I will." But doesn't let him go. " Tone, let go. You're gonna be late." "No, we are. Come on, I wanna show you something." Tony says as he drags. "Why?" He says he lets himself get dragged. "Just trust me okay?" Bucky nods as Tony leads him to his car. They get in and Tony takes drives them to his secret hideaway. Well it's not so secret but you know it's his favorite place to go when he isn't feeling himself.
Tony pulls up to a parking lot. He parks his car and they both got, "the beach?" Bucky asks. "Not just the beach." He says as he holds his hand. Tony leads him to an opening underneath the pier, "This is where I go when I am upset or when I wanted to get away." He says with a sad smile. Bucky hugs him, "If you ever want to talk I'm here for you. No matter what." Tony smiles at him and nods against his chest.
They spent 2 hours just sitting there talking. "We should get to school." Tony says. Bucky nods and they get up. The two venture off to school . They get their late passes and head to their classes not before sharing a brief kiss. Even though they weren't officially together they both already knew they were each other's significant other. Tony sat in his class waiting for the lunch bell to ring and soon enough it did. Tony went off to find his friends so they wouldn't think he was dead or anything.
Sure enough one they seen him approaching they looked at him and made sure he was alright. "Why weren't you here for the first two periods?" "Why didn't you call why didn't you let anyone know?" "Where did you go?" The three bombarded him with questions as he walked ahead of them to their normal spot. "I went to the beach." He simply said with a shrug. His friends shook their heads. "You still could have let us know." Happy said. "I know guys. I promise next time I will let you guys know." They all nodded content with the promise.
Meanwhile, Bucky sat next to Natasha and Steve while Clint and Sam fought over who was stronger. "So,Buck I hear you got a date with Tony tomorrow." Natasha says. Steve looked up from his food with steam practically coming out of his ear. "Yeah, I am." Is all Bucky says. "Why didn't I know about this", Steve says. "Because you don't need to know. It my business Steve." Bucky rolls his eyes. "Okay, but as your best friend I deserve to know." Steve says.
Bucky scoffs and crosses his arms. Natasha looks between them and says, " whatever is going on between the two of you ends today. You guys have been best friends since Kindergarten!" Steve and Bucky look at each other and Natasha. She then places the pieces together, " you guys are fighting over a guy. Really. We promised each other we wouldn't let anyone come between us. So you two either make up or I make you put on the get along shirt!" She says reaching tinto her bag.
Bucky and Steve look at each other with wide eyes and hug. But Bucky whispers to Steve, "I will never forgive you for what you did to Tony but you are my brother and I have a lot of love for you. So I'm gunna put my pride aside just this once." Steve get teary eyed and says, "it's alright I deserve it." The two let go and nod. Natasha smiles, "good. Now Bucky, how can Steve and I help you set up for the date?" "Well since you asked ....." he explains to the two his plan and they nods the three come up with a plan on help him set up the date.
