Beomgyu's POV "KAI!" I woke up with a start, clutching my head in pain. My bedroom door was slammed open and Yeonjun hyung burst into the room. "Gyu? What's up?" he asked, sitting on the side of my bed. Soobin and Taehyun also walked into the room sleepily and collapsed on the couch in my room, looking as though they were about to fall asleep any time.
"I just had a nightmare. It's nothing..." I said unsurely, hoping that I managed to convince Yeonjun. He narrowed his eyes at me but didn't push it further. "Alright then, but we're staying in your room tonight. I'm too lazy to walk back to my room now." Soobin hyung said sleepily and fell fast asleep beside Taehyun on the couch. Yeonjun hyung lay down on my bed and pulled me down, cuddling me as he fell asleep as well. Soon, I was the only one wide awake in the house. My mind went back to the nightmare I was having.
"HYUNG! HELP!" A voice that was unmistakably Kai's rang out over and over again. "KAI!" I tried to run towards him but every time I got closer, he would magically disappear and appear even further behind. Not giving up, I continued to run towards my beloved maknae. Tears were streaming down his cute face as he attempted to reach me to no avail. Finally, he disappeared completely, leaving me in darkness. A high cold merciless laughter filled the air, "You'll never see Kai ever again!"
What does that mean? Surely it's just a nightmare. Tomorrow morning, I'll wake up and find Kai sleeping in his hospital bed peacefully...right? Clearing my thoughts, I snuggled closer to Yeonjun and closed my eyes.
"RINGGGG!" My alarm clock rang, breaking the silence in the bedroom. Opening my eyes, I found Taehyun stretching on the couch, while Soobin and Yeonjun were no where to be seen. Washing up quickly with Taehyun, we hurried down to the kitchen where Yeonjun and Soobin were cooking breakfast.
"Yay, its my favourite pancakes!" Taehyun yelled excitedly as he tucked into the plate of blueberry pancakes that Soobin had set in front of him. Yeonjun similarly put a plate of pancakes in front of me as well, before sitting down in front of his and stuffing his face full of pancake.
"Lets gwo and gwet Kwai discharwged afwter we're dwone." Yeonjun said, looking like a chipmunk as he attempted to speak. "What?" Soobin asked, looking incredulously at Yeonjun while sipping his almond milk. After a few long seconds, he swallowed his food and spoke clearly, "Lets go and get Kai discharged after we're done." I nodded quickly, wanting to get Kai out of the hospital wing and safely back with us. I didn't want Kai stolen from us like what happened in my nightmare. Quickly, we gobbled down our pancakes and cleared the dishes before pulling on our school uniform. (pretend Kai isn't in the photo)

"Soobin! Hurry up!" I whined as I watched Soobin slip into his Converse, taking his time. Dragging my friends, we ran to the hospital wing on the other side of the school, eager to see Kai again. "Kaiiii!" Taehyun shouted as he dashed into the hospital wing. However, Kai was nowhere to be seen.
"Kai? Are we playing hide-and-seek right now?" I asked, shaking my head at the childish boy. "YAH, HUENING KAMAL KAI, YOU BETTER COME OUT RIGHT NOW OR I'M NOT GIVING YOU YOUR PANCAKES!" Yeonjun held the lunchbox with the pancakes up, and yelled for Kai.
"Boys? Why're you shouting so early in the morning?" Prof. Minhyuk walked through the doors of the hospital wing. "I just need to run a final check on Kai then I can discharge ... wait where's Kai?" he asked, looking extremely confused. "I'm not sure, Professor Minhyuk. He might be just playing around though." I answered, looking around for possible signs of Kai. "I don't think so...he's not strong enough to move long distances by himself yet." Prof. Minhyuk frowned, "wait here, I need to get someone." After finishing his sentence, he hurried out of the hospital wing.
After what seemed like an eternity, he appeared back with two other teachers, one with red hair and the other with black hair. "This is Professor Changkyun," he said, pointing to the guy with black hair, "and this is Professor Kihyun," nodding to the one with red hair.
"Hyungwon went to get the Headmaster." Prof. Kihyun said quietly, before moving with Prof. Changkyun to the bed where Kai was last night. "There's no indications that a fight broke out here though, whatever happened, Kai didn't put up a fight." Prof. Changkyun said, staring at the bed.
"No, please no." I clutched my head and collapsed slowly to the floor.
Soobin's POV "No, please no." I turned around, only to see Yeonjun supporting Beomgyu with all the strength that he had. He let Beomgyu down slowly, so that he wouldn't hit his head. "It's my fault!" he cried, hot tears streaming down his face. I wiped away his tears and looked at him in concern, "what do you mean it's your fault?"
"I-I had a nightmare last night, where Kai was taken away from us! Please, I want Kai back," Beomgyu let out a heart-wrenching cry.
"I'm here!" The headmaster's voice rang out as he stepped into the hospital wing together with a pink haired professor, who was probably Prof. Hyungwon. "What happened to Kai?"
(A/N) here's the chapter I promised you :D the prime minister just confirmed that school is cancelled from 8 April onwards, I might not have the time to update as often since I'll be tired after HBL. But for now, I'll try to provide as many updates before HBL starts ;-; we can pull through covid-19 together
