Chapter 16

Taehyun's POV
"I'm worried for Soobin... from the way I'm seeing this, he isn't coping well. First HueningKai, now Yeonjun. They are really bent on taking everyone close to him..." I said, playing with Beomgyu's black hair as we sat on his bed, talking about what happened. He sighed, "What do you think happened to Yeonjun? Do you think Yeonjun is now with Kai?" I nodded, continuing to play with his fluffy hair. "I just hope they don't treat them badly..." Suddenly, someone knocked the door to Beomgyu's room. We instinctively looked up, ready to fight should it be another one of those strangers who kidnapped Yeonjun. "Hey..." Soobin's familiar voice rang out, "can I come in?" "Of course, hyung!" Beomgyu called, and the next moment, the door swung open, and Soobin walked in. He raised his eyebrows at me, who was still playing with Beomgyu's hair. Beomgyu must have seen Soobin's look, for he quickly answered, "it calms me down when he plays with my hair...". Soobin merely nodded and walked to my bed, taking a seat near us.

"Hyung..." I started, but Soobin cut me off.

"Beomgyu, could you try using your powers to attain a connection with Yeonjun or HueningKai?" Soobin asked, a glimmer of hope obvious in his eyes.

"I've tried, Soobin hyung. But they might be in a room where they can't use powers, which doesn't allow me to get a connection." Beomgyu sighed, looking extremely disappointed.  Soobin looked down at his fingers, tears cascading down his cheeks. "I miss the two of them, if I hadn't found that door, we wouldn't be here right now!" he cried. "If you hadn't found the door, we would all be digested in the bear's stomach by now." I said, matter-of-factly, also trying to comfort Soobin. He gave a watery smile, before looking at his watch. "Oh, it's 10pm. Get some sleep, Namjoon hyung says we'll be reaching tomorrow at dawn." he stood up and walked out, silently closing the door. I exchanged worried looks with Beomgyu, before standing up to leave the room. "Stay with me, please. I'm scared after what happened to them." Beomgyu pleaded quietly. I sighed and nodded, sitting back down at the spot I had just vacated. He pulled me down to lie beside him, and soon, we were fast asleep.

Time skip to next morning
Beomgyu's POV
A knock on my door woke me up. I sat up groggily, rubbing my eyes, "who is it?". "It's Jin! Time to wake up, we're reaching in about an hour, and breakfast is ready in the dining room!" Seokjin hyung called out. I replied a simple 'okay' before turning to wake Taehyun up. "Taehyun-ah! We've to wake up!" he opened his eyes tiredly and stretched lazily. Walking to the bathroom, I quickly washed up and allowed Taehyun, who looked like he was sleepwalking, to use the toilet. After a few minutes, both of us finished changing into comfy hoodies and jeans, and rushed to the dining room. Seokjin hyung greeted us and placed plates of pancakes in front of us, gesturing for us to start eating. Stuffing our mouths full with his marvellous pancakes, I looked around the room, spotting Soobin talking in hushed tones with Namjoon. What are they talking about? My question was left unanswered, as Seokjin placed more pancakes onto my plate.

After a few awkward minutes of merely silverware hitting the plates and chewing sounds, Namjoon and Soobin abruptly stopped their conversation. "We're here." Namjoon said matter-of-factly, and rushed to the deck along with Soobin. The rest of us followed closely behind.

It was right there. Sitting innocently in the middle of the ocean. A dark cloud surrounded it, looming ahead.

Taehyun clung onto Soobin, who was now standing beside us. Soobin hugged the two of us tightly. I could feel a teardrop dripping on my shoulder before he let go, his face expressionless. "Come on, we can't waste any time." Namjoon and Seokjin gently pushed us to the smaller boats, which we rowed gently to the mysterious island.

I could feel it, something is wrong with Yeonjun and HueningKai.
